Evry’U is a mini social network and discovery tool. The app lets you find new friends, share pictures and messages, search users based on different criteria and, as the app suggests, ‘flirt without exposing your identity’. The app is very polished and responsive, making it easy for people to try it out.
Price: Free
Tested on: HTC One X
Content Rating: Medium Maturity
Pros & Cons:
Pros
- Neat user interface!
- Growing base of users!
- Very interactive: comment, wink, flirt, chat, and message!
- Multiple-profile support!
Cons
- Purpose of classifieds section is a bit of a mystery.
- Some profiles can be pretty explicit, might need to move up to a High Maturity rating.
Features:
Evry’U is a social app for people looking to make friends, chat and perhaps find a relationship of some kind. The first thing I noticed is that it’s a very polished and well developed application, screens are smooth and responsive even when loading live data. The design is pretty good too, with nice animations and screen transitions. Navigation is really simple, so it’s easy to find your way around, search, message people, post to walls, etc.
I think to call it a dating app is a little too direct, the app includes lots of people both looking for long term relationships, casual relationships and those who are just looking to broaden their social networks. Regardless of your aspiration towards the service, the app gives you plenty of cool options. As with any network you can add friends, chat, post notes to people’s walls (called visitors notes), view profiles, send pictures and ‘flirt’ (flirting involves sending items not unlike Facebook’s Super Pokes. Here you can send flowers, teddy bears, kisses, hearts, rings, fish slaps and more!)
A good feature is the way you can create multiple profiles, under the same account. So, perhaps if you want to keep your identity private, this is a good feature. All your profiles can be viewed from one screen and it will inform you which profile you are using.
Evry’U doesn’t have many users at the moment, so looking for people who are local to you might be a little hit and miss. Even the person nearest to me was 50 miles away, but the numbers are growing and I’m sure that even by the time this review is published there will be more of a population within the app.
The app features a ‘Classifieds’ section which seems a little out of place. No one seems to be selling anything, merely posting pictures of random things and attaching a price tag. I appreciate this is just an additional feature but it seems a little out of place, it might make more sense to have a ‘personals’ section or a mini-forum instead.

Usefulness:
If you’re looking for online friends of all kinds, this is a nice little app. It gives you a great deal of flexibility and privacy. I think as the service grows (and, being multi-platform, this shouldn’t be problematic) it will become more and more useful for finding people to hang out with, flirt with or chat to.
Ease of Use:
Perhaps the best thing about the app is how easy it is to use. Navigation and exploring is very simple and very user-friendly. Everything is highly intuitive and performing actions is straightforward. I think a lot of this is owed to the neat UI design and responsive screens.
Frequently Used:
From my experience using the app, it’s something that most people use relatively often. The app tells you when a user was last active on the service and most current users seem to use Evry’U daily, if not more frequently.
Interface:
The interface is simple but very slick and looks great. This really aids navigation too as everything is really well designed and intuitive. It might be nice to be able to personalise the look a little, perhaps with the use of themes, but it still works really well as it is.
