Due Today is a powerful GTD/project management system with a wide selection of features and functions. It allows you to maintain projects, organise teams, set tasks, tag items and organize deadlines. The app comes with a variety of customizable widgets and you can even download a Windows client to manage projects via your PC. If you currently manage a number of projects, or perhaps have a big assignment to organize the delivery of this could be a great solution for you.

Features:
Perhaps you are a Project Manager or essentially run various projects of different kinds. Unless you have a massively organised brain, you’re going to need a bit of an administrative assistance. Or maybe you have lots of things on the go and need some formality to your tasks and assignments. This is where the powerful utility of Due Today could be very helpful.
Very much in the format of many GTD (Getting Things Done) style apps, Due Today is simple and easy to use. While it is straight forward to use the app as a list of tasks to complete and ‘tick off’, the guts of Due Today go far deeper. You can add tasks and sub-tasks beneath different Projects and/or sub-projects. You can then assign those tasks to individual team members. You can even enter the email addresses of those team members for direct contact and monitoring.
Due Today will let you create deadlines for each of these, in addition to making them ‘Float’ that is, stay open and/or repeat. Following all these projects, sub-projects, tasks, sub-tasks (which already sound quite complicated!) is made easier in the app through the ability to tag each of these in different ways, and subsequently search those tags. This is incredibly useful if you have quite a number of projects that might tie together, or a uniquely tagged project amongst many others.
Even if some of the options make your head spin a little, Due Today is incredibly easy to use and maintain. You can view the project and individual tasks in a number of ways- in addition to maybe following which team member is responsible for what task, etc. The app comes with a few handy widgets, so you can have, for example, a list of due tasks right on your home screen.
Another feature worth mentioning is Due Today’s interaction with Toodledo. You might already be aware of this online to-do list, if so you’ll be pleased to know that Due Today supports it. While you can actually purchase and download a Windows client for Due Today, this is flexible enough to give you another option. So, you already have Toodledo set up, you can easily integrate it with Due Today.
I should stress that Due Today probably goes above and beyond the requirements for a typical user. If your task lists perhaps include walking the dog, putting out the trash, fetching some milk, mowing the lawn and finish an essay- Due Today might be a bit of an overkill. However, if you manage projects in any number of capacities, and need something reliable, detailed and comprehensive- perhaps the management of team members in order to achieve deadlined goals, this is a superb and useful tool.

Usefulness:
The main underlying function of the app is to be useful and aid your (and your teams) productivity. So whether your project is currently getting the better of you or losing focus, or perhaps you need something more comprehensive than the system you are using; maybe you want to be able to use access project details remotely on your mobile- Due Today is an incredibly useful and detailed app, perfect for these kind of needs.
Ease of Use:
The Due Today app is a rabbit warren of detail. You can either set it to a basic task list (and leave it at that), or add all kind of unique details to individual tasks such as team member responsible, due time and date, tags, priority and context. While this can get a little complicated the app at least allows you the option which is relevant to you. Like I mentioned, the functionality might be a bit of an overkill if you’re looking for a basic ToDo list creator- it would be like buying a Ferrari just to fetch groceries- but if you need to get knee-deep in multiple-tasks, prioritization and complexity, Due Today is ideal.
Frequently Used:
I would think GTD apps are used a great deal. Certainly if this is your occupation, it would be used daily, if not hourly.
Interface:
While Due Today might not be as aesthetically pleasing as some of its less-functional GTD competitors, it is arguably far more powerful and detailed. The menus and configuration are very basic, and the widgets are relatively neat and customizable. The app perhaps doesn’t win points on looks, but I’m certain a Project Manager would happily sacrifice appearance for functionality.
