best phone ever. i can do anytinhg and everything on my droid. SNES, NES, Gmaeboy, download books to it, music, fun little apps. gps, real time maps,tons of storage space. get it and get it now. oh yea, and app sales are low because all the ones you really want OR NEED ARE FREE. theres just a lot of greedy programmers that want to get paid for the same thing you can get free.

@John: The same thing happened to me with Unsynced contacts on my Droid and then it wouldn’t sync with my Gmail acct. I took my gmail and facebook accts out of my contacts by disabling the sync and deleted all the unsynced/phone only contacts manually. I reconnected the Gmail sync and haven’t had an issue since. Also, if you get Handcent SMS to replace Messaging, you can add quicktexts easily under the settings menu.

This phone is the best that I’ve ever owned! And I love how people are ditching on Verizon for their plan pricing. The funny thing is that my wife and I pay the same for our 2 Android phones that a few of my employees pay for their plans with 2 iPhones on them. Great phone. Great service company. Finally, a combo I can enjoy.

I just got my Droid last week and I’m enjoying it too.. I had a few Palm devices and my last was my Palm TX which I had from inception to this summer.. the Droid is a lot like having my dream Palm integrated with a phone…

Saying that, it’s not perfect.. i don’t like the pull out keyboard.. I was good with Grafiti handwriting and I guess I’ll get better on this…

The Contacts app is supposed to sync my Gmail account, my Facebook account and my transferred phone numbers.. but for SOME contact, all the data was transferred and for other contacts, only some of the info was synched.. some of the contacts show “unsynched” but I don’t know why….

I wish I could store often used text sentences like I did with my Verison Razr but there is nothing analobous…. I wish Contacts was more tied to the calendar. i wish birthdays and other anniversaries would show up on the calendar, like when I had my Palm…

Other than that… I’m enjoying it.. battery life is great….

I feel the same way and had the exact same thing happen. Had Verizon with a Blackberry, dumped it for the Iphone and two months later came crawling back to Verizon because ATT F%$cking blows!!!!! I travel all over the country and anyone who says ATT is better hasnt left there major metropolitan area. Neway, I got another Blackberry Curve and when this came out I decided to give it a try because the browser on the Berrys sucks. Its the perfect combo of Iphone, Blackberry, and even the ability to kill apps like WM phones. The perfect combo in my opinion.

I had the iphone since day one. Five months ago I trashed my iphone and went back to Blackberry. last night I decided to checkout the droid. So far this is one of the best phones I have ever had. It does everything both Iphone and Berry does with more options. We can call it a Hybrid.

This is the best phone verizon has offered sense the first Env. Wasn’t sold on the touch screen phones until I got the droid.

Actually a good question. There’s currently no good iTunes player on Android but you can load your DRM-free MP3s onto the phone and use a selection of music player apps.

The Droid seems to lack the innovative styling that was the big seller for the Razr, but still, it’s nice to not have to depend too much on the touch screen — I’d say it was a good move by Verizon

I really love the droid, it looks ultra awesome. Now only if they’d offer a gsm version for t-mobile. (I hate verizon and would never, ever switch).
