Drago Pet. Have you ever dreamed about having an ancient creature as your friend? In Drago Pet we will become a guardian of a mystic dragon! When it will hatch you will step into an epic adventure of living, having fun and taking care of an unique animal living in your phone! The first thing you’ll have to remember is that your little magic creature lives all the time in your device like in Tamagotchi! It is not simply being saved when you exit the game. Drago Pet is the Android version of Tamagotchi, so if you liked that type of virtual pet that you could take care of, you’re going to enjoy this little app.
When you start off, you have an egg you need to hatch, and you have to monitor the temperature so it doesn’t get too hot or cold. Once your egg hatches, you can then feed, train, play with and bathe your dragon, as well as take care of it when it gets sick. The developer recently added several different food types to the game, and there is a promise that there will be mini games to earn food later, although right now, it’s all unlimited use.
My only complaint, and this was a big one for me, is that the dragon gets sick a LOT. It will get sick if you don’t feed or take care of it, which is understandable, but I found that if I checked in with it in the morning, and then again late afternoon, it was sick because all its stats were at the bottom of their levels. There is a notification icon in the bar that goes from green, which is feeling fine, to yellow, which means there is a problem, to red, which generally, for me, meant my dragon was sick. The problem was that I don’t check my phone every hour on the hour, and so I would go from healthy to sick and back again several times a day. And when the dragon is sick, it requires two injections – and those have to be an hour apart. So again, if you aren’t on your phone that often, your dragon could die or run away. There is a sleep mode, so at least at night the dragon’s stats aren’t going down, but it will only sleep during the times you set up in the options as “night”, so there is no way to just let it sleep during the day while you’re at work, for example.
I’ve always had a strange attraction to taking care of virtual pets for some reason, and this is a good example of that genre. It’s cute and fun, a bit frustrating because the dragon gets sick so often if you can’t be on your phone constantly checking on it.
The game is designed around manufacturing your addictive need to take care of the virtual pet. The addictive factor will go up as development continues, especially when mini-games and new ways to interact with your dragon are added. There is a lot of potential here, and the drive to keep your dragon healthy and happy is a bit consuming once you start.
The graphics for this game are very cute and even in 3D. I love the dragon models, and while it gets a bit repetitive after a while since the dragon only has a few different movements, it’s a work in progress, however it is well done. I also like that the interface changes when you go from egg to dragon, which is a small touch, but a nice one.
The sound is a very medieval sort of thing, which fits in well with the whole fantasy dragon concept.

Should you Download Drago Pet? Overall, this is a very cute little game for your Android phone. I had no battery problems at all, which was a surprise to me since I expected to see some drain. There is no way to adjust how often you have to check in with your dragon, and if you work for a living and can’t be on your phone all day, this means you spend a lot of time getting your dragon healthy again after it gets sick. But since the app is in development, this is most definitely one to watch!

Just wanted to toss you a quick suggestion. It is possible to change the hours you consider sleep hours at any time. So you could put your dragon to sleep when you go to bed, wake up, take care of it, and change the hours again so it can sleep while you’re at work so you don’t have to check in on it constantly. Then at night you just change the sleep hours again. A little bit of a pain, but at least it will keep your little dragon healthy.
i hope i will get an answer to this question…i had installed drago pet a few months ago & enjoyed taking care of my dragon (marlene). last week i thought to add a couple new apps to my phone but had not enough space…yes, i uninstalled drago pet thinking that i could re-install the game & that it would continue where i had left it ….well, i was wrong. i would dearly love to have marlene back as my dragon. is there anywhere i can go to retrieve my “game in progress”? i’ve started another dragon in the meantime but i miss my original dragon. is this request possible? i truly enjoy drago pet!! i assure you i will not uninstall my current game ever again!
sincerely,
