Documents To Go Android App brings Microsoft Office editing capabilities to the Android OS! Although one thing I do miss about Windows Mobile smartphones is mobile Office built in (at no additional charge). Documents To Go Android App allows you to read, write and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents. What’s also cool, you can add formatting to documents such as; bold, italics, underline, font color, alignment, bulleted and numbered lists, tables, bookmarks, comments, footnotes, endnotes, track-changes, etc (complete Features Matrix here).
DataViz released another app that compliments Documents To Go called RoadSync, which allows you receive emails with Direct Push via Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, get contacts and attachments.
Gripe Alert: scrolling through documents can be laggy, plus we’ve experienced “Force Close” errors at times.

I cannot find it in the market! help!! I really really need and want this application. I’m from Singapore, by the way.
I never used this app before. Does “Documents To Go” open zip files? When you get an email with an attachment…does it automatically open…or do you have to open the app to read the document? I’d appreciate any feedback to help me understand the app before I purchase it. Thanks for sharing!!
No it won’t open zip files, but when you click on an attachment then Android gives you a choice of applications with which to open it. It’s pretty straightforward
I have been using this for a few weeks now, and while it is usable with a bit of practice, it does not measure up to the PalmOS version that I used contentedly for a couple of years. Firstly, it will only insert text at the point at which you first start editing. If you want to insert a word or two later in the paragraph, or go back and correct a typo, you have to toggle the onscreen keyboard off, point to the place where you want to resume editing, and then toggle the keyboard on again. A real pain.
Secondly, and unlike the PalmOS version, it seems to be impossible to create PowerPoint presentations that are more than two slides long. When you create a presentation you get a title slide and a normal, bullet-point slide. You can add material to those, and can create new slides, but can then only put titles on the new slides. The software does not allow you to creat new bullets under those titles (at least, not on my Dell Streak under Android 2.1). There are commands that seem to allow this – but they don’t work! Since PowerPoint on the move is my personal “killer app” I am really disappointed.
It for the most part is better than pixel in ease of use but wont edit my spread sheet says it has calculations so wont edit I like the google docs interface
