Devil’s Attorney is a turn-based strategy battle game with a difference. Instead of the setting being some futuristic Japanese metropolis, or some fantasy land of wizards and heroes, Devil’s Attorney is rooted in a courtroom… in the 1980′s. You are Max McMann, a flamboyant and ambitious lawyer with little moral fibre but certainly a guy who has the gift of the gab. Help your outrageously guilty innocent clients get off in a game chock-full of humour and addictive gameplay.

Pros & Cons:
Pros

- Great visuals!
- Brilliant sound!
- Loads of fun characters!
Features:
Devil’s Attorney is a turn-based battle sim set in a courtroom. You take it in turns against 9 lawyers, each with very different characters, to defend your clients and hopefully prevent them from going to jail. You have the gift of the gab, but can you use your skills to defeat the prosecutors, evidence, witnesses and experts? As you progress you accumulate cash, which can be spent on garish and ugly unique and stylish apartment decorations which, in turn, boost your ego and powers.
Both you and those against you have points which act a little like health. Essentially if you reduce their points below zero they are taken out of the case. Also, if they remove your points to zero, your client goes to jail. You have a variety of tools to use; from cross examining a prosecutor, patronising a witness and tampering with evidence to using an epic speech to boost your points total. You begin with a number of action points and you get to use these on each turn- make them count!

The game is lots of fun and is full of humour, most notably the ridiculous cases that you must defend and the exchanges between Max and the other prosecutors. There are various places to check out, including stores, law offices and your apartments. Using the cash you earn, you can boost your qualities (including vanity and decadence) by purchasing items for your wardrobe and apartment.
Devil’s Attorney is an incredibly original spin on the turn based strategy genre and very refreshing. It’s immediately playable and there are plenty of laugh-out-loud moments. As you progress you accumulate more and more skills and face better and better prosecutors. You also get better offices and apartments and can buy new items. The game is incredibly silly but perfectly designed and pure fun to play.

Fun Factor:
With the great visual elements, dialogue, theme and perpetual jokes and trash-talk, you’ll find it hard to find a game that has a higher fun-factor than Devil’s Attorney. The game effuses quality and the complete absurdity of the gameplay make it hugely enjoyable.
Addictive:
Yes, massively! You have to use strategy to defeat each case otherwise the prosecution will wipe the floor with that wide grin of yours. Each prosecutor has different skills and witnesses have varying levels of power and attack. For example, if you have a piece of evidence and three experts to support it, you have to undermine and remove that evidence before it hits you. In doing so the case can collapse and you can win. Every case is different and makes each challenge unique, meaning you are always keen to try the next level.
Graphics:
The graphics are outstanding. Full of great detail and little animations, despite the game essentially being a 2D experience. Devil’s Attorney really comes to life with brilliantly created and designed characters. and these burst from the screen throughout the game. Just excellent!
Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:
The sound is multi-faceted and top quality. From the spoken dialogue between Max and other other lawyers to the outrageous theme song (which, incidentally, is downloadable from here).
