DEATH DOME is a gritty fighting game with dazzling graphics and chilling atmosphere. Set in a brutal dystopia where you have to battle deformed monsters in 3D, one-on-one combat, there are loads of effective moves to learn and enemies to face. If you enjoy intense and frenetic combat games, this is one you might want to check out.

Death Dome is a very dark place. The M virus has turned people into hulking angry masses of monstrous muscle and worse, they really have it in for you! The game presents various bouts of one-on-one combat in glorious 3D. The graphics are the big highlight here, console quality throughout and they utterly sizzle on the screen and are super smooth.

You battle through and levels become harder and you will be required to face tougher bosses. Controls are simple. You can dodge either way, use on the on-screen shield to block and attacking involves swiping in different directions to slash at the enemy. Eventually you build up enough momentum to action a Flux. This is special move that gives you a super-powerful period of attack. You also have the opportunity to do a “Finish Him!” move at the end of each bout.

Death Dome is definitely a game for more mature audiences. It includes some extremely violent action and bags of gore- it’s like the hardest and most gruesome creatures from Resident Evil fighting you one at a time. While all this plays out beautifully on a bright screen with such crystal clear visuals, there are times where you think you might have to wipe monster blood away form your eyes, it’s that visceral at times.

The game features a whopping download size- nearly 500MB so this might put you off, certainly if you’re away from a Wi-Fi network. Additionally, Death Dome is a freemium game so expect to use real cash if you want to progress far, although there’s plenty of free fighting to be had initially.

Fun Factor:

If fighting games are you thing, you’ll love this. The richly detailed one-on-one combat is fantastically rendered and highly responsive to play. There is little to do besides fighting, but for some enjoyably mindless gameplay, this is a top game.

Addictive:

Winning a fight is very rewarding and, if you’ve enjoyed playing games like Street Fighter and Tekken before, this kind of anarchic combat will suit you well. I wouldn’t call is overly addictive- you might happily take a break from the intense gameplay, but it’s definitely something you’ll look forward to playing again.

Graphics:

The graphics are sublime, really detailed and full of colour, shows and rich animation. I love the way moves are played out and even the cut scenes are rewarding and create a deeply immersive experience for gamers.

Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:

The sound is also top-draw. There are various elements of voice acting and tons of battle sound effects. Overall it gives a menacing and daunting ‘horror’ feel to the game.

Should you Download DEATH DOME? Death Dome is a brilliant and fun arcade game that sees you fighting hulking creatures born from the mysterious M virus. The game features awesome graphics, knock-out sound and simplistic yet rewarding gameplay. It’s not especially taxing mentally, but if you need a mindless and immersive distraction, this is a great solution.
