ATT Uverse. I like the service but know people that have many issues with their customer service.

I believe Central Valley Cable is part of Comcast.
      CONSTANT audio dropouts!
lots of “this channel will be available shortly” showing for HOURS!
Missed recordings because of the above!
      NO HD for local channels
      It’s really crap!

Comcast sucks…working to build my own HTPC and cut out my cable TV service for good. The only plus to Comcast is their internet, it’s amazing.

I cut the ‘cord’ when I cancelled my Direct TV service years ago, tired of them raising the price 10% every year – wasted so much money to just watch G4TV (when it wasn’t stormy out). Cable has been cut for over a decade – Comcast is an evil company… Would love to have a Roku to supplement my media center pc and XBOX 360 for entertainment.

We have been trying to cut out our cable for a few years now, First with a Logitech Revue with Google TV and now I have converted an old PC into an XBMC player. Cables costs are just insane today. I cannot wait for 5 years from now when we can have a system that allows us to pay for what we watch rather than paying for 600 channels of nothing.

My cable TV provider (Time Warner) is pretty good. Video on Demand is spotty. Other than that my TV and Internet is top-notch. I still do a ton of online streaming with my HTPC, but I would love one of these Roku boxes to replace it.

    Hook me up! =)

I have Time Warner cable, but only for internet. I don’t pay for TV or a land line. The actual service is great in my area. I get speeds faster than I know what to do with, and it is great for streaming Netflix to my HD TV. The only problem is that they started charging for “renting” their modems. That is a very annoying problem.

Recently switched from Comcast to Verizon FIOS. Comcast was good enough, but FIOS just screams for internet. I’m getting 75 megabit connections, the only problem the wireless in my house is only 10-15, so I’m having trouble getting all that bandwidth to the clients.

Whoops, I read the contest rules wrong…scratch that.

Verizon Fios provides my cable tv service. Actually, I have zero complaints. They are awesome. Their service is much, much better than Cablevision, which I had before. Even the remote control is faster.

If I’d change anything, I’d like to go ala carte and just get the channels I want please. But that isn’t happening with anyone’s cable service any time soon.

After trying both of the big carriers in my area (Charlotte, NC) , AT&T Uverse and Time Warner Cable I decided to stick with Time Warner because their television service in my opinion is just better. They also offer the highest speeds possible with their Signature Home Service which gives me 50mbps down and 5mbps up which I routinely get in daily use. I also enjoy having a direct line where a real human picks up if I have a problem. I’m not saying that Time Warner is perfect but are the best available to me. I would love having the Roku for my upstairs television as I don’t have a cable box there.

I have FIOS, and since I’ve moved two months ago I’ve had to call at least once a week to get things working again. And instead of doing what worked every other time, I have to go through the entire program again. Just reset the damn battery and everything will be fine. Anyway, been thinking about cutting the cord, got an antenna on the way (I live in the country so lets hope it works) This would be a great help in getting it going

Comcast supplied me with a modem/wireless router combo unit. They even installed it and set up the network but when I had problems where the router would not hold a connection I called them and they said they do not support wireless networks and tried to charge me 70.00 to trouble shoot the problem. I balked and after threatening to cancel my service they sent a tech out as it was their equipment that was faulty!
I cannot believe that a company does not support it’s own equipment. If they can’t support it then don’t install it!!!

I’ve had nearly every cable provider. We lived in nyc for 10 years and then all you could get was time Warner, which, well, plain sucked. Then we got cablevision when we moved out and that was, and somehow, even worse. Now we’re on fios and it’s like a different dimension. Fast speeds, great picture, strong wifi, and easy controls. Plus, it’s $50 cheaper than the others ever were. Nonetheless I’ve been itching to cut the cord because we use like 5 channels, so a new roku would be the right incentive to get our next evolution of media underway.

I have Knology cable service in my area. I was in one apartment for 5 years and then my apartment manager moved me to an adjacent unit as it was more updated and they wanted a chance to renew my unit. In this 5 year time frame I was on a certain plan each month, paying the same amount each time. When I switched I told Knology that I wanted the service EXACTLY as it was before. They switched the prices claiming that I had been on the wrong service plan. I told them it had been the same for 5 years and they basically stated that when I made the change the person put in the wrong package code so I had been incorrectly billed for 5 years!! I had to pay the new rate which was of course higher. They own the rights to this area and I can’t get another provider or satellite service as the apt. manager does not allow that. I …. HATE… KNOLOGY!!!
