My first video game was Zork. Loved the hell out of that game, kept me entertained far longer than most video games out now. I remember having my pencil and graph paper to make a map so I could remember all of the places that Ihad been. Imust have played that game a hundred times. None of the sequels compared. Good luck to all.

The very first gaming system I remember having…. Was the old Nintendo. I was very young and don’t have to many memories of playing much of anything other than a little Mario Bro’s and maybe some Donkey Kong. Then I can remember my Dad saying he had this BIG SURPRISE, and walking in our living room with a black, shiny, new Sega Genesis… Telling my Mom, it wasn’t a spur of the moment purchase. That he had done “research”, thought long and hard about it, and finally decided that it would be something fun, for me and my brother… to play games on, have fun, and do together. I never really did get to play too much of that Sega, or ever “sharing” it with my brother, or really anyone… I do have many flashbacks of my brother and I sitting in the floor next to my Dad asking if we could play next, while he took turns with himself playing Mortal Kombat lol.. Once many Dad was over it, my brother got to finally have his turn, guess he forgot I was older and wanted to play to… So finally after the wasn’t into anymore either, I actually got a turn, and played a little Sonic the Hedgehog, tried many hand with Kitana on MK every now and then, but I wasn’t able to get into it (and wasn’t very good, esp @MK) very much because they were usually hogging it…. BUT THEN— One day my dad brought home something new…actually 2 new things of our own, no sharing!! He bought us each, our very own, Brand New, grey, not so shiny, A Brand New, Cool: My Very Own — PlayStation — I thought it, was the coolest thing EvEr invented!!! Every afternoon, every weekend, every spare second I had I spent playing – RayMan–&–Pa Rapa the Rapper– those were my absolute favorite, not widely recognized/popular, games!!… I was so good at those games… I thought that’s Pa Rapa the Rapper was the coolest game, ever, invented lol The Onion Headed karate teacher?!? He was so AWESOME…… Any time I see ads, or go to my parents and step into my Dads very own game room –which he saves the world in..on a daily basis (playing the Call of Duty games)–all the stuff that is, will be, or has came out, just aren’t like the “classics”….. I’ve tried playing them, a few times before, even… They just aren’t the same our as fun, as I remember… I just can’t get in to the new games like I did back in the day!! Those games were classic, good, clean–family friendly–fun (well the ones I played at least). I just remember having so much fun using “my own PlayStation”…. Whether I was playing RayMan alone in my room, or Pa Rapa the Rapper with my family or friends, out was always fun… Seeing this brought back so many good and fun memories I had… I’ve done that a lot here recently…. Sit back, and reminisce about it all the many times I had still much fun playing the games and stuff, with no cares or responsibilities.. I know it may/does sound corny, BUT….when/if/or as you start to grow up, into an “ADULT” you usually: Get married, work a “REAL” job, pay bills, like every other adult. Your normal everyday adult life seems to only consists of: Go to work, Eat, Take a shower, and go to sleep… Go to work, Eat, Take a shower, and go to sleep… Everything seems the same.. you aren’t even a little excited, actually kind of depressed, about your upcoming, Christmas Eve, birthday…. Not only just bc it’s, the worst day for a birthday ever–in the history of recorded birth day’s– you’re also always getting jipped, or looked over bc of Christmas!! You will only be 3 years away from turning 30!! To add a cherry on top of it all.. Your new husband starts planning/talking about having kids within the next couple of years!!! look SOOO… It is very nice, and comforting, to look back on those memories… You also pray! Pray to whatever God (or don’t if that’s what you “don’t believe” in) that, there will soon, very soon, be a person to invent an actual working, time machine. Ahhhhhh…… My only worry or responsibility, I then would have— and willingly apply on myself —would be: Making sure I kick a#$ and keep up with Mr. Onion Head in the DOJO… Well… I really believe I went above and beyond, maybe (hopefully not) too far – but that’s just who I a – what you asked for.. lol I definitely deserve this and feel I should be rewarded with this, for not still living at home, peeling in bottles bc I can’t share Paris a game for the bathroom, and being on the show “Intervention” whole my family cries and begs me to go to a gamers rehab lol.. UNLESS … you wanna stay with the standard, and pass over this awesome-newlywedded-girl , like most everyone else does!! Right before, or on her birthday… lol (I need a distraction from all the constant bliss and baby talk in my life this might just be the pick me up I need lol) :-)

My first video game system was an NES Which included Mario and duck hunt combo, but mom had also bought me Tetris, which turned out to be the first game I played before Mario! I was 5 and to say the least, Tetris was confusing and I didn’t understand it, I thought it was the dumbest game about building ever! It wasn’t until a few years later, but I finally did understand it, and as everyone knows, Tetris was awesome! So, Tetris was my first, its so funny thinking back that far.

My first console and first game ever was the NES with Super Mario/Duck Hunt. I still get mad when I think about that dog laughing at me when I missed a duck. I would save a bullet sometimes just to shoot it. Lol.

My first game was river raid on Atari 2600. I remember getting up in the morning in my cowboy themed long underwear going to the attic area (that’s where the Atari was) and playing it on a 13 inch black and white TV. Good times!

Pitfall on Atari. first real game I played. played all night long audio many times. my cousin and I got something like 5000 points. we had to take a picture of the screen (no screen capture back then) and send it into Activision to get a T-shirt. we had to wait for pictures to get developed. when we saw them. the glare from the flash ruined the pictures. we never got our shirt. still the one game that got me hooked on gaming.

Seriously true, the only FIRST game I ever played was Richard Scarrys Busy-Town on Sega!! I will never forget how fun that game was. I can remember so many details about it! The next ones I can remember around that time, were Earth-worm Jim, and Bomberman. :-) Thanks for the chance to win, and reminding me to not forget!
