Laptop for the moment but the future is tablets

In the forseeable future I will need a laptop for its large screen and physical keyboard, mouse and general ease of use of powerful apps. In the future I’m hoping phones (or tablets) will be able to “dock” to external resources just like a laptop dock does now (for larger screen, keyboard, maybe mouse, and maybe more powerful cpu).

Laptops are more functional for me if I’m doing anything work related. Unfortunately tablets still aren’t powerful enough to do any CAD on, and I don’t wanna do any Excel work on one either, however, for general entertainment and baseline “laptop” functionality, a tablet is just fine!

As a laptop because I have a powerful enough phone for my mobile needs, but no home PC for my writing and music needs.

For 90% of the things i do,news updates, android and ipad news and any new tech news i pull out the tablet.I even have some magazine subscriptions that are alot easier to access and read on tablets.About the only time i fire up the laptop is to pay bills or if i have a lengthy typing session.Laptop is also more useful for printing.

For me, a tablet is the way to go! First off, there are some great keyboard apps out there that are just as good as a physical keyboard! And in the era of having wireless printing available, never again will I have to get stuck carrying a laptop around. Tablet for the win!!!

I would have to say laptop. Tablets aren’t up to par with laptops yet. Although Surface comes close, I wouldn’t want the early version of it. However, in the future, it may be tablets.

Tablet. I’m all about media consumption. I’m only composing one or two sentences in social media so, a physical keyboard is not a big deal.

Laptop, just because of the ease of use and the various screen-splitting setups I have.

Right now laptop, have not had enough time to play with a tablet to see if it can meet all of my needs.

A tablet would be all I would really need. Almost instant on to check mail, browse the web or start an app.

Tablet. It’s very light and I could access the world through my fingertips.
It’s hassle-free and I’m into those gyro-games so I love hanging out with my tablet.
And they have lots of apps to waste time!

Laptop, since I am a student, still need to run a lot of programs design for windows. I also have a Nexus 7 and it does not support video out, so I have to connect my laptop to the projector.

Laptop. I had the nexus 7 and sold it to help pay for my Note 2. Now that i have the note 2 its big enough like a tablet and with more functions. Id love a laptop which i do not have. With a Laptop its so much easier traveling with it than a PC strapped to your back lol. Besides if your into music and like producing and composing a laptop is the way to go for on the go.. Happy Holidays and good luck people..

At the moment, I’d have to say a laptop… I am a software developer and most of the tools I use don’t have tablet equivalents (yet)

I’m going with a laptop, but just barely. I still prefer typing on a physical keyboard, it’s faster. I don’t mind carrying a little extra weight.
