Elena Rico Winner of Win Samsung Galaxy S II 4G in #25DaysOfGiveaways 2012

Day 19 in our #25DaysOfGiveaways we’re giving away the Samsung Galaxy S II 4G with one month of free service from Virgin Mobile. It may not be the latest Galaxy device but still an awesome phone with huge & vivid screen, fast enough to handle any of these top apps, gets blazing 4G speeds, and crowned the best Android phone on Virgin by us- a free phone and first month’s free… that’s more than $350 value! Tell us how old were you when you got your 1st cellphone to win! I was 19 and sported the Audiovox PCX 1000 from PrimeCo, a large regional carrier that rolled into U.S. Cellular. Winning is simple but has two catches:

  1. Limited to residents in the U.S. (to activate the device).
  2. Winner must send in a pic and/or video of yourself and your prize (if you cannot do this, please do not enter).

Random winner will be chosen by tomorrow morning and contacted via the email used to comment (so use an accurate email!) Follow us on social media as some giveaways don’t hit the site. Come back tomorrow as we give away… come back and see. :P P.S. don’t forget to check out our new Holiday Gift Buying Guide and enter to win or daily giveaways!

I was 18 and it was a Nokia 650. I thought I was the stuff….Lol. It was huge! About the size of a landline phone. It had great reception. I couldn’t complain because my parents bought it for me for my birthday. :)

I was 19. It was the virgin mobile jax. Talk about indestructible. That has been dropped, kicked, used in the shower, fell in a puddle and everything else that would have broken a phone instantly and it still works, even today. I nicknamed my first the Juggernaut. I use it for brick attack. High score 9840

I got my first cell phone when I was 44 after getting stranded at a campsite with a broke down car. It was a tracfone Nokia 918 I think. Still the only mobile phone I ever had that didn’t have to have a special setting to just press 9 to call Emergency.

16, it was an old nokia that had snake on it. I ran up long distance charges the first month I had it, around 300 bucks. Needless to say, I got rid of it after that. Oh how the times have changed in 10 years.

I was 26 and my mobile phone was with AT&T service. It was called a bag phone, color black. As a matter of fact I think I still have it packed away…it came in a roughly 6×9 vinyl zipper case and when you used the phone you actually pick up the handset off a base with numerals just like an old wall hanging phone. Their was no texting, no download features, yes, folks only a phone number screen. Amazing how advanced technology has brought us. Oh, it had s handle on outside bag like laptop case now to carry it everywhere you went. We thought that was fantastic and modern age.
