Windows Phone 8! I really like the OS to be honest. There’s a steep learning curve, but once you get it, navigating and finding the things you need is easy.

Windows Phone 8. They mentioned how nicely it integrates with Windows 8 and I’d like to see and test that.

I’d go for Windows Phone 8. I would like to see how it plays together with Windows 8 on the Desktop, although I won’t have touch stuff for a long time… Although when you kinda ignore the tiled UI, it’s a bumped up Windows 7 ;D

I would have to go with the windows phone. I used to think blackberry was amazing. Until I got my first Android. It changed everything. I have a bb for work and prefer to use it as a hockey puck.

I would HAVE to say Windows, I used the first Titan for a few days, if it had been a bit FASTER I would have been perfectly happy, BUT having become. A HUGE android fan, the lag was driving me CRAZY!, but the os and even the apps, were much nicer than anything I ever found with Blackberry, so YES-WINDOWS.***

This is cruel, making us choose between two OS’s that many of would never use. Well, since I hate Windows and Microsoft so much, I would have to go with a Blackberry. At least they seem to have some sense of what security really is (plus there is a new version coming, or so they keep saying)

I had 2 Windows phones so far in my Mobile history. One was the Motorola Q (thinnest smart phone in the world for a while), and then I had the Samsung i760. I would have no problem switching to a Windows 8 phone. I certainly wouldn’t get a Blackberry. They are for a different target market than a mid 20′s engineer/nerd.

  • By Jeremiah on December 11, 2012 at 2:58 pm:

If I had to choose, I’m going with Windows Phone. Whatever else you can about them, Microsoft is committed to the consumer sector and has the money to really make Windows Phone work. It just might take them a few more years. BlackBerry is a dead platform, IMO. If it weren’t for the enterprise sector, they would have been out of business a year ago. BlackBerry 10 excites no one.

Neither OS will ever be ready for prime time. But if having to choose one. Windows because of better cross platform integration, more choices, and better app. development. Blackberry IM and email is all RIM did well. Complete lack of app devs or new hardware innovation has just run this company into the ground. Two years from now they will be bought out or just liquidated.

I’ll go with the family and say Window Phone 8. They have something interesting going on with xbox, window 8, surface, etc. Doing what Apple and Google already did, and creating a nice ecosystem. Blackberry… even if the 10 might be good. You do end up with 1 devices and that’s it.

Of course the Underdog is Blackberry. As I am the fan of the underdog I would go with Blackberry’s new attempt back in the market. Window’s Phones are great tools to use when you have a PC, as is Iphone with the Macs. But if I never ventured out to buy my first Android Phone, My Touch G3 I wouldn’t have been blown away with the Underestimated tiny dog, running up on the purebred champion of Iphones. So with this in mind, I would give the Blackberry a chance with it’s giving track record for reliability and ease of use. Window’s phones are great products, but with too much Blocks and not enough Glare and pizzazz such as the Android OS. Give the man a chance, he will more than likely surprise you.
