CuTewit is a Twitter client for Android with brand new interface.
Price: Free
CuTewit Android App connects you to your Twitter account from the Home screen. You can do virtually every Twitter function without visiting Twitter’s website. You can post a Twit, see @Replies & Direct Replies, Retweet, Search, Upload pics, Follow/Unfollow, mark as Favorite, Android Notifications, and more. This app features a 1×1 desktop widget to quick launch the full app and has a hidden feature to asign your Caller Contacts to Twitter Contacts.
Who couldn’t use another Twitter app??? Can be useful to Androids who want to interact with their Twitter account while mobile.
CuTewit Android App could use some work in the usability department. Meaning… some of the assumed gestures are not used, rather new and different approaches are taken. For example, if you pull a friends bio up by tapping their avatar, to get rid of it… you would assume to press the phone’s “Back” button. Doing so closes the whole app, you have to press the tiny onscreen “Menu” button in the lower left to remove it… and pressing the phone’s “Menu” button does not invoke the menu. In using the virtual keyboard, you must press the phone’s “Back” button to remove it in order to tapp the onscreen send button.
If used as you default Android Twitter App, can be used multiple times daily (user dependant).
Gripe Alert: The user interface in our opinion is rather clustered and blazingly annoying with the neon light blue. The user interface could use a face lift.

Thanks Androidtapp for the review.
[Disclosure: I am the developer of CuTewit]
Just fixed the “MENU” “BACK” buttons and uploaded v2.4.1 to market.
Also check out the 4×1 widget (Standard) that seems to be missing from the review. It lets you browse through 20 twits WITHOUT opening the full app.
The neon look is under works and a better, pleasant color scheme will be available in v2.5/2.6.
Suggestions/Feedback welcome!

So far me likes the dark background but not the colors. I’d put purple in, so I guess I wish it was customizable (HINTHINT). Another me like -> “without visiting Twitter’s website”. Love this with my desktop app now.
BTW – How’s it on updating the timeline??
Jayesh, let me pick my colors and I’ll definitely switch at least to try it out, possibly keep over T****** R***
I just released v2.5 of CuTewit to the market. It comes with two choices of color schemes/themes. A soft light colored theme “leaf” is the default. For those who prefer dark backgrounds, there is choice of another theme “coke”. It can be selected in the settings.

v2.5 also features automatic preview of twitpic/yfrog images. i.e. if you tap on twits that have twitpic.com or yfrog.com; then CuTewit will show you a thumbnail preview of the image. This will save a trip to the browser to view the image.
Thanks,
Jayesh
