Features:
Cordy is an excellent 3D action platform puzzler for Android. Cordy is a little robot running through each of the large and puzzling worlds he lives in trying to collect power cells and gears to provide power to the world. As you play through Cordy you will run through the levels and jump over obstacles to achieve the best times. In further levels you will drag, push, throw, and climb over obstacles to finish the levels and bring power to the world.
The object of Cordy is to run through the various worlds in the game collects gears and power cells to complete the level and move on to the next. The levels are detailed and expansive growing larger and more complex as you progress through the game. The environment and design of the levels makes you feel like you are on narrow turfs of grass floating in outer space with large machine-like structures all around.
There are three objectives to every level in the game: level completion, gear collection, and time completed. In order to complete a level you just need to ensure that Cordy collects all of the planet shaped power cells throughout the level. After collecting all of the power cells you guide Cordy to the computer terminal at the end of the level and click on the terminal to link up to it. This provides to the various machines around the level and will cause a chain reaction opening the door to exit the level and move on to the next.
Cordy’s second objective is gear collection. Throughout each level there will be a large amount of gears for Cordy to pick up as he is sprinting through the level collecting power cells. Most of the gears will be in plain sight and along Cordy’s normal movement path, but a few will be hidden throughout the level and much more difficult to find and collect. I noticed that hidden gears tended to be placed in areas that were behind pieces of the environment. As I would be running past an overhanging machine or other piece of the environment I would frequently find gears hidden behind it. These could easily be collected by just jumping up near those hidden areas. When you get close enough to the gears they will be drawn to you like a magnet and Cordy will collect them. All of the gears need to be collected at each level in order to achieve a perfect score.
Cordy’s third objective is to complete each level in a certain amount of time. The time objectives are ridiculously short, making this the hardest objective to accomplish. On some levels the time requirement for completion could be as little as 20 seconds! In order to accomplish this objective you need to completely ignore the gears and run through the level collecting the power cells as quickly as possible. Since this objective and gear collection are very different in their focus you will probably need to play through each level multiple times to complete all three objectives.
After beating each level in the game Cordy is transported in to a special level select world, similar to Mario Bros 2 or 3. In the level select world Cordy can enter any of the unlocked levels in the game and play through them. The level select world does not require you to collect gears or power cells, but does require you to climb platforms and jump gaps to get to the door of the next level.
Cordy comes with 4 free levels and more are available through in app billing. The full version of Cordy can be unlocked through in-app billing for $3.99. The full version includes many new levels and new abilities for Cordy like swinging. Two issues I am unclear on with this in-app billing is whether or not the full version of Cordy is unlocked on all Google devices when purchased and exactly how many levels comes with the full version.
Finally, you can also purchase new outfits for Cordy in the game through in-app billing. With this feature you can buy Cordy Cowboy outfits, top hats, martian helmets and much more!

Fun Factor:
Cordy is extremely fun to play. The graphics are spectacular and the smoothness of the game-play is on par with consoles like Xbox 360, Wii, or PlayStation. The levels are challenging and the objectives are difficult and require multiple play-throughs keeping you coming back to this game for more.
Surprisingly, even the touchscreen controls for this game are excellent. I have tested a large number of games recently where the controls were just too choppy on the touchscreen. Fortunately the controls for Cordy were excellent on every device it was tested on, regardless of whether it was tested on a touch screen or hardware controls.
Addictive:
Cordy is extremely addictive due to the complexity of the levels and the level objectives. There is a large amount of levels included in Cordy for the Motorola Xoom and even more are available through in-app billing. This is a game that people of all ages will enjoy!
Graphics:
The graphics in Cordy are stunning. The environments of the game are rendered with a detail normally only seen on consoles. Whether I was playing this on the Motorola Xoom or the Samsung Galaxy Tablet I still observed the same level of detail! Very few games can compete with Cordy in this category, a few games with a similar attention to detail are Riptide GP, Dungeon Defenders, and Guerrilla Bob.
Accelerometer, Vibration, and Sound:
Cordy makes no use of the accelerometer or vibration. Instead Cordy focuses on fine tuning the touch screen controls to provide the best gaming experience across all Android devices. Cordy’s touch screen controls are excellent and extremely easy to use. I also tested Cordy on an Xperia Play and was extremely satisfied with the game experience.
Cordy features a unique soundtrack which is reminiscent of platformers on the Nintendo Wii which contributes greatly to the atmosphere of the game. The sound effects and musical score solidify the environment of the game and it’s appeal to gamers of all ages.
