AndroidTapp.com Android App Review:

Features:

Contacts Blast is a Blast! A great alternative to the default Dialer/Contacts app. Search contacts, change your background image, view full contact details and photo all from one screen.

If you’re using Contacts Blast to replace your default Dialer/Contacts, be sure to check the “Set as Default” to avoid annoying popups.

Tip: How to clear application defaults

  • From the Home screen, tapp “Menu” button then “Settings
  • Tapp “Applications”
  • Browse the app defaults you want to clear
  • Tapp “Clear Defaults” for the app

Small Gripe Alert: It’s a bit sluggish though. It shows icons for info not stored, so if you only have a phone number for the contact, it shows “Email” icon… however if you tapp email, you’ll get a note none is stored.

Usefulness:

Contacts Blast Android App is more cool than useful, that’s not to say the app is far from useful. Easy contacts search and grouping make this app very useful. Remember editing “Groups” is something you can only do on your desktop PC logged into Gmail. So for all those asking, “How can I edit/manage Groups on Android?”… Simple, use Contacts Blast (and it syncs back with Gmail)

Ease of Use:

Contacts Blast Android App is straightforward and easy to use. A beefed up version of Dailer/Contacts.

Frequently Used:

If you replace your default Dailer/Contacts app, then you’ll be using the app everytime you need to make a call, search or manage your contacts.

Interface:

The user interface is what’s most appealling with Contacts Blast, instead of the drab black background… you can change it to your existing wallpaper background or choose a new one from your pictures. Plus the applications’ UI and icons are sweet too!
