Display your contact information when the device is locked, allowing the finder to contact you if you happen to lose it. Select yourself from your list of contacts, then select which information you want shown. It will be there when you restart your device and update if you change your contact information.

Contact Owner Android App is very useful if you lose your phone. On the default lock screen, you can display your contact details (phone number, email address, etc.) or custom message for whomever finds it. Hopefully that good Samaritan contacts you to return it. Contact Owner is very easy to configure, simply select your own contact information from your contacts list (if it is not there you can exit the app to create one or apply a Custom message using the “Text Before” and/or “Text After” fields).
There may be some concerns about displaying your contact information to potentially anyone who finds/uses your phone so choose what information you would like to display carefully.

I just downloaded this app. I lost my phone and had to purchase another one because I did not have insurance. I am now downloading every secruity app in the market– hopefully next time I can retreive my phone!!!
I cannot get past the “Select a Contact” screen. After I select a contact, the only option I have is “Select a Contact”. I am using a Motorola Defy w/ Android 2.1.
