Can’t tell from info given here if it traces the changes in a word’s meaning over time, like the big OED. Now THAT would be worth the price!

So many online dictionaries are lame!! The one on the Mac dashboard is ridiculous – 25% of the time it doesn’t find words that ARE in the dictionary. And Dictionary.com…well, they just assault you with ads.
I am all for paying a little to have a definitive, excellent online dictionary.

Good quality and usability, but too expensive — should be less than the printed version, widely available for about $10.

Bought an ipod touch and Andoid phones during the holiday, is searching a good dictionary application for both. The main thing I am looking at is the ability to search the word without cell or wifi coverage. dictionary.com iphone app seems pretty good, but Andoid version of the same seems limited. Bounced to this Oxford dictionary website. Anyone compare the iphone dictionary.com vs Oxford Android? If the free license is still available, I would like to give it a try and post some feedback.

Just got my new cell phone, and is searching for a good dictionary for Andoid and ipod touch (two phones). Dictionary.com app for iphone is good enough since it works in offline state (both cell and wifi), but Andoid version for dictionary.com seems much less capable compare with iphone version. Is the Oxford Andoid version similar or better to dictionary.com iphone version?
If the free license for Oxford is still available, I would like to get one and post my personal oppinion here.

This could easily become my favorite dictionary. Paying for a valuable app is honest and fair but $15 is more than I’m willing to pay. How about some new marketing where 10 times the volume are sold at one third the cost?
