CloneBoard is a must-have app for business professionals as it allows you to draw, jot or note take on your phone or tablet and show the real-time strokes in a web browser. Think of it as an interactive whiteboard, plus it’s super easy to setup with no techno jazz. Let’s check it out!

CloneBoard on Talet and Computer
If you like myself conduct meetings, you can get creative and use an app like CloneBoard as a whiteboard to add interactive note-taking features for a group to see on a computer screen. The app is really simple to setup and use. Just install the app, make sure your device is on the same Wi-Fi network as the presenting computer, enter the IP address (i.e. http://192.168.0.1:8080) on the top of the app into your web browser and presto! Whatever you write/draw in the app will show on the computer’s screen (multiple computers on the same network can browser the IP address too.) There are very limited options to change however; only brush thickness, brush color, save the image, and clear the whole board.
For a meeting or presentation to show real-time note taking really quickly this is an ideal app. However, I personally wish it offered more tools and controls. For example, on-screen quick tools, an eraser tool, a feature to import previous boards, zooming features, predefined shapes, larger preset color swatches in addition to the tiny color pallet and a better separation of the ‘Clear screen’ option from the brush strokes as it’s easy to hit it and erase everything by accident. It’s a cool app now, but with more enhancements mentioned- it can be a great app.
