Pros & Cons:
Pros
- A nice agenda style calendar widget!
- You can sync to multiple calendars at a time!
- There are several sizes to choose from!
Cons
- The largest, 4×4 widget had some glitches.
- All-day events wanted to start or end on the wrong days in the widget, despite being right when you clicked through to the actual event.
Features:
Clean Calendar Widget is exactly what it says – a nice, clean calendar widget in the agenda style. There are several sizes to choose from, and in the settings, there are enough options to allow you to really personalize it, without there being so many it becomes overwhelming. And the default settings are all pretty solid.
I did, however, have a few problems with it. First, the largest, 4×4 widget, actually shows up as the same size as the 4×3. And all of the items in the widget were cut off – as if there was supposed to be more space, but there wasn’t. It’s a glitch I had after trying to remove and replace the widget a few times, and even after rebooting. The other sizes all seemed to work fine, however, so it was only the 4×4 that had that issue.
The other major issue I had was that all-day events were being listed as starting and ending a day earlier than they actually were. Clicking through to my full calendar showed that they were still on there correct, but the widget for some reason was pushing it forward. There actually is a setting that says to toggle on or off to fix the problem, but toggling it didn’t make any difference for me – I had the exact same problem with it on or off, even after rebooting.
The glitches aside, this is a very nice, clean widget. The free version doesn’t have access to all of the sizes or settings, so the upgrade does bring a lot with it. It’s obvious this is an early version, and it’s one I plan to keep an eye on, since it has a lot of promise.

Usefulness:
I’m always looking for a good calendar widget, and this is a very solid example. It has a variety of options so you can get exactly what you need from it.
Ease of Use:
There are enough settings that it won’t be a two-tap and you’re done widget, but it’s worth it to go through them to get it looking and acting the way you want. Once you have it done, you don’t have to do anything except glance at it for your schedule.
Frequently Used:
If you’re like me, you check your calendar a few times a day to make sure you aren’t forgetting anything. So this is going to be one of your main go-to widgets if you opt to use it over Google’s version.
Interface:
The widget itself is clean and nice to look at, with easy to read fonts and a settings bar you can show or hide. The settings are just complex enough to give people who like to personalize something to work with, while the defaults are good enough to not have to bother with the settings for anyone who just wants to toss a widget on the home screen and forget it.
