Galaxy Note available for AT&T February 19th, pre-orders start February 5th for $300

Android Apps Security Alert: sneaky Trojan adware potentially affecting Millions

Recently, anti-virus & anti-malware company Symantec alerted the public of Android.Counterclank and categories it as a very low threat Trojan that steals personal information; which infected more than 5 million people. Mobile threat and anti-virus company Lookout posted in a blog post and disagreed with the assessment. Check out this chuckle funny spot that preludes Samsung's Super Bowl commercial. Teasing those that religiously wait hours/days in notorious lines to purchase Apple's latest devices. I like that they point out premium features on Android that just work and offered for free, such as turn by turn GPS navigation. I like the marketing idea more for its simplicity of pointing out features, versus talking about dual core processors and gigabytes of RAM. Something normal consumers don't know or care for, leave that tech talk to us nerds which have an audience that cares about that stuff. :)Read Full Article

LG will be launching a Google TV set top box we're told "in 2012." At CES 2012 we got a demo of the slightly altered Android user interface; browsing live, browsing movie catalogs and browsing Android apps. Not shown in the video, however, shown below is a unique remote control design for the LG system to be released. SHADOWGUN 3D Multi-Player Face-off Demoed on ASUS Transformer Prime with Nvidia Tegra 3

How awesome is this... The third person-shooter 3D game, SHADOWGUN, was demoed by Nvidia on an ASUS Transformer Prime at CES. Played as a multi-player over Wi-Fi, it supports up to eight simultaneous players. The game has sweet console quality graphics, displaying at 60 frames per second without hitch thanks to the Tegra 3 processor under the hood. That laptop you see in the video is actually a tablet with dock that supports gaming controllers and mirrors its screen to televisions via HDMI. Hands-on Video: Sprint Galaxy Nexus

Shortly after Sprint confirmed its Galaxy Nexus with 4G LTE capability at CES 2012 we got some hands-on video of it. There is not much difference from the locked International and Verizon versions with the exception of the processor specs stated to be slightly higher at 1.5GHz versus 1.2GHz. Availability is still TBD, however, it will probably launch in Q2 as Sprint rolls out more of their 4G LTE network.Read Full Article

Huawei Ascend P1 S was released as the "world's slimmest smartphone" running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Measuring 6.68mm (a hair thicker than the Fujitsu Arrows μ) the P1 S has a sibling device, the P1, and measures 7.69mm; the differences being the battery size.
