Cardmobili is a virtual wallet for your reward and loyalty cards, letting you keep all your cards in one place on your Android. The app lets you create various reward cards from a large catalogue, as well as presenting you with different rewards, coupons and other offers from Cardmobili partners. With our terse economic climate, and the rise of other virtual wallets and money saving services such as Google Wallet and Groupon, there is a clearly demand for useful and convenient financial solutions of this sort.
Price: Free
Tested on: HTC Desire HD
Content Rating: Low Maturity
Pros & Cons:
Pros
- Huge range of pre-set cards.
- Completely free.
- Nice UI.
Cons
- Can be tricky to create cards.
- Lacks the customization and variety of some similar apps.
- Are stores ready to adopt this?
Features:
Cardmobili aims to help you have access to your coupons, reward and loyalty cards- in addition to providing you with useful 3rd party offers. The app is quite easy to use and, although creating cards can take some time, incredibly useful if you utilize those kind of store facilities.
The app provides copious and reassuring tutorials as to how to create cards and use the app. These are particularly helpful to ensure your information is input correctly. I found creating cards to be a bit burdonsome, but I guess it’s one of those one-off things, once it’s set up that’s it. You create an account with Cardmobili, so you can also access your info via their website and it’s easy to search the wide range of pre-set cards available.
Cardmobili really does what it says on the tin but, compared to similar apps, is a little bit limited. For example SPB Wallet, albeit a paid-for app, allows for a wider variety of cards and information to be stored and also provides a vast array of customizations- such a creating a virtual credit card with exactly the same appearance as your actual card. Obviously this latter element is pure aesthetics, but it’s nice to have an app that has an authentic feel about it, and while Cardmobili works fine, there’s not that same level of engagement. The big plus with this app, however, is that it’s free.
I found to be a good app, and stable but obviously it might only suit people who use loyalty cards, coupons and vouchers and are open to rewards schemes and marketing information that helps save money. It also depends on whether Cardmobili partners suit the kind of things you want to save money on. I still think there might also be some way to go in many stores as to determine whether they accept such things. It might only take a snotty Saturday-boy to deny you use of certain rewards you might depend on. However, with the current climate moving more and more towards virtual wallets and methods of payments using your mobile phone, I’d be certain that services such as Cardmobili will continue to grow and become even more useful.

Cardmobili – Tips
Usefulness:
If you collect coupons, reward vouchers, loyalty cards, etc., and if they’re starting to make that wallet or purse of yours to burst at the seams; this is certainly the kind of app you might want to take a look at. It’s nifty, secure, convenient and useful and can save that moment of searching through your wallet for ‘that’ coupon you got a while ago that you just ‘know’ is in there somewhere. It makes this transactions easier, smarter and- lets be honest- a little bit cooler.
Ease of Use:
Setting up cards is a bit of a chore, but this is the same for any such services. The fact that the info is stored in the cloud is helpful, if you change phones, or ROMs then your info can still be accessed and re-installed. Subsequently using the app is quite straightforward once you get over the notion of the teller scanning your phone- which I still find a little bit like a scene from a Sci-Fi movie.
Frequently Used:
This clearly depends on the user, but if you use certain stores regularly, this might be something you use on a weekly or even daily basis.
Interface:
The interface is quite basic and perhaps not as attractive as the likes of SPB Wallet but it functions well, so such a moot point is pretty irrelevant.
