CallzApp – prioritize your calls!
Jul 5, 2015 11:00 AM –
CallzApp is a unique calling app that allows you to prioritize your calls. Prior to making a call you can set as either ‘Emergency Call’, ‘Urgent Call’, ‘Important Call’ or ‘Normal Call’ to alert the recipient of your calling status. Read and watch the video review to see how you can never miss an important call with this app!
Price: Free, Offers in-app purchases
Tested on: Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge
Pros & Cons:
- Prioritize phone calls before calling!
- Both parties are not required to have the app, but works exceptionally if they both do!
- Interface design is a bit dated and could be more intuitive and streamlined.

CallzApp expands on the basic call functions by allowing you to prioritize a call. Say you want all calls from your wife, boss or client(s) to come through or be alerted immediately if you happen to miss it accidentally or purposely. To discuss the app effectively we must separate how it functions when one or both parties have it installed:
When Both Parties Have CallzApp Installed
When dialing out use the app to browse a contact or use the built-in dialer, however, you specify from one of four statuses prior to calling; either ‘Emergency Call’, ‘Urgent Call’, ‘Important Call’ or ‘Normal Call’. If choosing any of the former three the recipient will receive a label atop your contact details (see main screenshot above) then the caller knows to answer. If, for some reason they are physically away from the phone or do not answer- they will receive a text message stating the priority and for them to return your call.
When Only The Caller Has CallzApp Installed
Say only you have the app installed, just like previously explained you can dial them, however, if Emergency, Urgent or Important statuses were chosen the recipient will receive a text message stating the priority and for them to return your call.
The logs have been expanded a bit in comparison to your normal dialer as the app will analyze how often you converse with various contacts and color-code/sort by priority/frequency. In my evaluation the frequency statuses were not too accurate. In this video you can see my frequency with a certain caller yet it lists as “monthly” frequency. In addition, it keeps a history of their last phone or message contact dates & times.
The overall interface seems a bit dated, and looks worse than the default dialer on modern smartphones. That stated, I felt it could be more intuitive and streamlined as well- perhaps a warning when trying out emergency features as your contact would receive a text message and may call you in a panic.
