Call Block Unlimited can ‘send to voicemail’ or ‘pick up and hang up’. Automatic call blocking for known spammers (list updates daily). Block one contact, ‘private’, whole states, or whitelist all your contacts and call block everyone else.

Features & Usefulness:

Call Block Unlimited is a convenient app for blocking unwanted callers such as spammers, “private” calls or choose specific contacts in your list (although the latter can be done natively with Android phones by editing a contact and pressing Menu button then Options). The app works by either allowing you to send calls straight to voicemail or pick up and hang up leaving the unwanted caller with the busy tone. The choice to send to voicemail or pick up and hang up can be toggled in the Settings menu. The service is provided by Mr. Number and compiles a daily updated list of what they consider are call spammers, so the app will cross-reference those possible incoming calls against the list to filter your unwanted calls.

Ease of Use:

Once installed suspected spam callers are automatically blocked, but take a trip to the Blacklist tab to add more to the list such as:

Choose from contacts
Enter an area code
Enter a number
All callers (in essence acts as a “Do Not Disturb” feature)
All callers in my contacts
All callers not in my contacts
All private/blocked numbers

Call Block Unlimited runs in the background and when a call comes in that matches block criteria you configure, it’ll kick in and do its job!

Looks like a nice app but all of these features (except for the cross referencing with known spammers) are in google voice. If someone prefers not to use google voice though I would think this would be a great app to try.

  Most countries don’t have Google Voice yet. Just tried this app and it works great in Ireland — was looking for a way to send Unknown numbers straight to voicemail, and it does that perfectly.
