Bus Stop Live Wallpaper is a impressively designed live wallpaper for compatible Android devices. It features four different hand-drawn characters and a handy clock which shows the time. You can also set the app to show whether you have missed calls, text and email. If so the characters hold up signs with the appropriate symbol on it. All-in-all, pretty cool and highly original.

Features:
Bus Stop Live Wallpaper is a cool live wallpaper experience that brings your homescreen to life. It is exactly as described, an average bus stop image with four characters all waiting for their bus. There’s also a clock which tells the correct time, plus clouds, sunshine, with detailed and colourful background. It’s all hand-drawn fare and looks great.
All the characters blink, fidget and look around. They consist of a slightly emo-ish school girl, skinny business guy, old lady and a muscled dude. They also seem to each have extra animations (I’ve clearly been watching it too long!). Emo-girl blows a bubble, skinny guy checks his watch, old lady just looks worried and muscle dude check his phone and looks surprised. If you watch long enough a bus drives by, stops and then drives away.
I like wallpapers with extra functionality, and Bus Stop Wallpaper delivers a few useful tricks. If you’ve missed a call, received and email or a text, the characters hold up signs which indicate the notification. The clock is also a nice addition as it tells the time according to your system settings.
I think the only thing that might put users off is the lack of customisation. With some LWP’s- such as Metaballs HD, there are enough things to theme or colours to change to make the app adaptable for most users. With Bus Stop Live Wallpaper, you really have to like the well-animated-yet-a-little-kooky animations as there’s little flexibility. The only other question I had about the app was its compatibility with certain devices. I have a low end, a mid-range and top end Android device, in addition to a tablet and the app appears in the Google Play Store as incompatible with all of them! I’m not sure what the issue is either as the app worked perfectly on the HTC One X.

Usefulness:
The wallpaper looks cool, plus it lets you know when you’ve missed a call, received an email or if a text has come through. You also get a little clock which tells you the time. As LWP’s go, that’s pretty functional!
Ease of Use:
All you need to do is install it and it does the rest. You have to separately add permissions to display some notifications, but these aside it’s very simple to use.
Frequently Used:
Whenever you switch on your device.
Interface:
The menu interface is very straightforward Android-menu affair but the wallpaper itself isn’t interactive or responsive to touch.
