Features:
Broken Sword : Directors Cut is a stunningly created and full-on adventure game. The game is of the ‘point and click’ variety, so you must explore rooms and environments for clues, talk with other characters and uncover the truth behind a mystery. Such games are usually very engaging and fun to play, although feature relatively low levels of actual ‘action’. If that doesn’t concern you, you’re in for a genuine treat as Broken Sword is pretty much the very best of the genre- boasting lush graphics, brilliant sound and engaging voice acting plus a thrilling mystery to solve.
This particular adventure sees you following the courageous journalist Nico Collard as she tries to uncover the truth behind the murder of statesman Pierre Carchon. It begins with Nico only having a short time with the body before the police arrive… what clues can she find? The game requires you to search various rooms looking for clues and sometimes collecting and combining items to make progress. It requires a level of ingenuity (and a dose of luck sometimes) to make the most of what you have, so while it is an adventure game, puzzle fans will also love this.
The graphic-novel style animation is second to none, rich in colour and detail, it really is top notch and adds the the authenticity of the game. Add to this the excellent voice acting and immersive sound and you have a game that is delicious fun to play and genuinely engaging from the very beginning. The story too is full of intrigue so if you like mysteries, puzzles games and/or graphic novels, this is definitely worth trying out.

Fun Factor:
This probably depends on what you consider fun. If you only get your kicks strafing a full clip into oncoming zombies, this might not be your cup of tea at all. It’s far more adventure than action. However, if you like playing logic puzzles, perhaps enjoy murder-mystery novels and similar themed films, this is excellent. I’m reluctant to mention books like The Davinci Code, but it has the same kind of intrigue.
Addictive:
Every step reveals something new to the story. As such you are driven on by the compulsively engaging story-line and variety of characters that you meet along the way.
Graphics:
The graphics are very detailed and wonderfully animated. For a more contemporary example, the visuals are as good as the press shots that are commonly associated with games like Grand Theft Auto- heavy graphic novel-style and excellently visualized.
Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:
One of the stand out features is the sound. Full of great voice acting, music and effects the sound is as high quality as you will find in perhaps any other Android game. It compliments the gameplay perfectly and is a brilliant feature.
