Bro Lifeline is a personal companion app that aims to help you get through a life full of pitfalls. From excuses for being late for work, getting out of unpleasant dates to giving your shy self a much needed pep talk, Bro Lifeline is the Android version of a ‘Wingman’. The app comes with a host of fake sounds, pick-up lines, pep talk and excuses which should be enough to help-out in all manner of situations.

Life isn’t always the easiest of rides, and navigating through it can be a lonely pursuit. Bro Lifeline hopes to help out a little here. A very simple and easy-to-use application, it provides a host of features that could come in handy in various situations.
There’s a range of fake sounds available, so if you need to falsify your location for whatever reason- this helps you do that. The sounds are quite cool actually, and very realistic. You can choose from restaurants and train station sounds to restrooms and shower sounds. Ideal for the unpunctual fabricator. The big problem with this is you can’t use it when you are on the phone- which I think in a most situations kind of defeats the purpose. However if you are with a friend, or a ‘Bro’, then maybe this feature can help them out.
The pick up lines feature is best to be avoided in my opinion. Most are the cloying face-palm quips that will probably cause any self-respecting desired person to run for the hills. “I think I need to call Heaven because they’ve lost one of their angels” is typical of the content. I’m pretty certain our readers could think up far better opening gambits, and I’d argue the receiver deserves far better!! Still, maybe for a bit of inspiration…
The pep talks are fun and will be sure to at least momentarily boost the morale of the shy and apprehensive. There are a few token peps you might of heard already but during those moments of doubt these could come in handy for anyone. I genuinely found the excuses quite good- my favourite being “It took me a little longer than usual to hide my disdain this morning… sir”, they are all quite tongue-in-cheek and fun.
I think the problem some people might have with this is that they might find it too useful! I think being yourself and honest about your mistakes is probably a better way to be, but for those times when these might not cut it, Bro Lifeline really is that get-out-of-jail-free card you need (*note: it doesn’t actually get you out of jail for free). Think of it like you would a lifeline on ‘Who wants To Be A Millionaire?’. Use it very sparingly, and when you don’t have the solution yourself.
This will depend very much on the user and the possible situations he (or even she) might find themselves in. Additionally, you might find the solutions here a little too simple to use in your busy and complex life. Saying this, I can imagine there are many among the nervous and shy for whom this will perhaps give a boost of confidence.
Bro Lifeline is immensely easy to use. I would guess if you are nervously accessing it bleary-eyed after waking up hungover and an hour late for work, something too complex isn’t going to help at all. The app is great for easily accessing the range of help it provides.
Again this depends on the user. My advice would be don’t use it too much though, you might come across as a bit on the douchey side in the long term.
The interface is very easy and simple. Each of the sounds comes with a relative background and the menus are really smooth and easy to navigate.

Should you Download Bro Lifeline? I think if you have read this far you probably know either this is your kind of app. There’s lots of fun excuses and silly pick-up lines in there- perhaps well worth the laugh you’ll get from reading them. Whether you’d actually use some of them is another matter. If you are well-rounded, confident and objective person, you really don’t need this. If however you are a bit on the shy side (and there’s nothing wrong with that) this might just give you enough of a confidence boost, or at least a laugh, to get you through. In which case, definitely give it a look.
