Features:
Brain Puzzle FREE is sadly the most generically titled game I think I have ever reviewed. So generic of a title that even when I put in the exact name into the Google Play Store, the game failed to show up on the first 20 pages of apps. Simply put, if you’re looking for your favourite type of puzzle games, you are not going to find Brain Puzzle Free. Which, after playing the game for quite a while, is a massive shame as it’s very very good.
Brain Puzzle Free is an awesome game that is chock full of variety and captivating little mini-challenges. In many ways it follows the ‘brain training’ formula of presenting a range of different levels, each containing a very different test than the one before. Some involve logic, some lateral thinking, others require concentration, dexterity or a steady hand. Every puzzle is very different from the others so gameplay is forever fresh and different.
You begin with a few free levels before you have to pay in ‘Zold’ to unlock later stages. You earn Zold by completing levels so, if you progress well and earn enough, you do not essentially have to make any in-app purchases (which is an option should you wish to do so).
The game is beautifully designed with nice graphics- even some 3D elements thrown in here and there. The music is good, the gameplay is mostly fun and challenging and you never really know what is coming next.
I come back again though to what I think is a bit of an oversight by the developer. The game is excellent, but naming it something as bland and descriptive as ‘Brain Puzzle Free’- in a Play Store full of brain puzzle games- will mean it never gets stumbled upon in the first place- which is a tragedy as it means so many potential users will miss out on this gem of a game. Therefore, I recommend you follow the in-article links- as you might not find it any other way! Update: you can find the app in Google Play search by placing it within quotes ” ” – i.e. “brain puzzle”.

Fun Factor:
As every little test is different from the last, the game forever feels new and refreshing. Some challenges are tougher than others, but you will have come across most of what is asked of you before. Completing a level with the gold star (there’s gold, silver and bronze achievements for each stage) feels very rewarding and tend to push you onwards.
Addictive:
Levels can be completed quite quickly so it’s an ideal casual game that is simple to dip into and play while commuting or if you otherwise have just a few minutes.
Graphics:
The graphics vary as much as the puzzles do, but every level is nicely done, often featuring bright, clear 3D graphics that really make it stand out as a well developed, quality game.
Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:
Sound in puzzle games are rarely ‘amazing’ unless you’re playing some kind of in-depth indie title who have used a professional music producer (see Osmos HD). However, the sound in Brian Puzzle Free is very good, just not something that’ll see your eardrums melting with joy any time soon.
There are some levels which require accelerometer controls so these deserve a mention. As far as I can tell, I found these are good, although not quite as responsive as games that rely on tilt controls more.
