BoggleDroid is your new-age rip of classic table top game, Boggle! Just like the original you’re under a timer to get as many word combinations as possible. However, as mobile apps go, you can challenge players across the globe or against another player on the same device. Lets get into some good word game fun!

Features:
BoggleDroid is a digital version of the Boggle table top game. Instead of rattling those wooden letter cubes inside the game board container the computer randomizes the letter for you in the beginning. Your objective is the same, to find as many words (3 letters and higher) as possible in the set timer. What I’ve found is the amount of aberrant words or word prefixes allowed as full words, so it’s not strict to what you find in the dictionary; words such as AHI, ANE, or NAH are allowed. You’re shown how many possible word combinations which isn’t a perk of the traditional game plus given scores for words; this is useful for challenging others online. Tapping into ScoreLoop you can bid and play for ‘points’, even choose who to play online around the globe. What’s cool, if the player you’re challenging is not online at the time you bid, you’ll be alerted via email of the game results or check them out in the ScoreLoop ‘History’. This aspect keeps the game interesting and challenging.
While playing, there are two methods to selecting letters; swipe or tap each (which can be toggled by tapping the Menu button). The latter requires you to tap the last letter again to confirm submission whereas the former is simply swiping to complete words. At the conclusion of each game you have the option to see which words were missed, plus your scoring percentage.
There are only minor quips to mention as it can get a bit repetitive after a while, however, there are mechanisms to combat that. Also a small peeve I would like to see fixed, the virtual keyboard launches at the start of each game… weird.

Fun Factor:
For me, BoggleDroid invokes that past-time of playing some good ole Boggle, especially when you play two players local… say with your friend on the same device. It gets a bit impersonal when you play online as it is turn-based, wheres, you either set a bid and play while others have to beat your high score or in reverse you seek a player and beat their top score… overall it keeps the game refreshing.
Addictive:
Like most word games on Android it has its draw and hook. For a wordie this may be a game to return to often for some quick time-waster fun.
Graphics:
Don’t expect those processor bending 3D graphics, not needed here. It’s a 2D basic representation of of the original game.
Accelerometer, Vibration & Sound:
There is haptic vibration when you swipe or tap letter combinations and sound effects can be toggled in the Menu.
