Bartender Android App is a simple resource for creating alcoholic beverages. Ever wonder what’s in a particular cocktail, this app just may have the ingredients, quantity of serving, type of glass best served in and instructions on how to make it. You can add your own drinks to the app and even submit them to the developer for inclusion for everyone else, in addition you can favorite drinks and rate them.
This app is great for adults looking for a new drinks to try, dinner parties and fun with friends at a bar.
The app could use some user experience help, for example you have to scroll through the entire list of drinks when you should be able to do that plus “fast scroll” alphabetically (similar to scrolling through contacts where the large bar appears to the right). The search feature is virtually useless as you cannot enter free text to get results back. However the search is by ingredients is pretty useful, i.e. you can search for drinks made with specific types of Vodka (but not Vodka in general).
The user interface is simple list of drinks with details… not fancy, but gets the job done.

Agree with the Ease of use/usability portions of the review… I have it and use it…but the Search function is not practical.
Any interest in following up with drink maestro for android? It has a fairly narrow set of cocktail recipes (it isn’t collaborative) – but it really does address a lot of the user interface issues with searching for cocktails. In the interest of full disclosure – I’m the developer. Thanks!
