Backgrounds Android App allows you to easily customize your home screen wallpaper. There are a wealth of images as these are free images pulled from Flickr. Of all the categories and combinations there should be something for everyone. You can also use this app to add images to your contacts (boy do I get tired of seeing the lil Android guy upon most phone calls). Alternatively you can grab free wallpapers from TalkAndroid or G1 Wallz. 
Backgrounds Android App is very useful in really simple to use; simply scroll through the choices… or search, simply tapp “Set Wallpaper” and you’re done. You don’t even have to crop the image like when using the default save as wallpaper app.
The frequency of use is user dependent; change your background as often or as sparse as you like.

In fact this is a cool app, BUT (big but here) it requires way too many permissions. Sorry but I don’t trust an app that only downloads backgrounds with all that permissions. Devs, please remove unused permissions.
I agree with Thiago, it requires to many permissions. Why would it need to read my contacts. That to me looks like it’s gathering names, emails, phone numbers so they can sell it back to a third party. Other than that it’s a nice app but I’m uninstalling it. Suggestion, just use your browser to find what you need instead.
i love it, except when i use Open Home it makes it weird if i use it in landscape mode it has gray bars up on top..
any of you have the same problems? i have the G1
I took it off because it was very buggy. One day it just sent my phone crazy while trying to access an image. Seemed like a nice concept though.
I like the app, but is there a way to set one of the pictures as the wallpaper for the lockscreen on HTC Heros?
