ASUS announced the next generation of the PadFone Infinity with tablet docking station at Mobile World Congress. This combination relieves the need to sync your devices as the phone inserts directly into the tablet, and automatically formats for the larger screen. The PadFone Infinity is an LTE device with 5-inch Full HD display that combines with a 10.1-inch tablet dock, it has Qualcomm Snapdragon 600- 1.7GHz quad-core processor, 64GB of storage, and offers up to 19 hours of 3G talk time- increased to up to 40 hours when docked. The camera technology is on steroids featuring 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with an f/2.0 five-element lens with no shutter lag. There is a dedicated image signal-processor which enhances low-light image quality, plus it can capture up to 100 sequential photos at 8 frames-per-second, while simultaneously recording 1080p full HD video, and you can output 1080p Full HD video via its Micro-USB-compatible MyDP interface.
ASUS PadFone Infinity will be available in Taiwan from April and selected other countries from early Q2 2013. The combined price of PadFone Infinity 64GB and PadFone Infinity Station is €999 (MSRP). Exact pricing and specifications will vary by market.
