ASUS announces Fonepad – 7-inch Android phone/tablet

ASUS announced the Fonepad, a 7-inch Android phone/tablet available from March 2013. The Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) powered phablet features an Intel Atom Z2420 processor, 7-inch IPS display (at 1280×800 resolution), has 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera and optional 3-megapixel rear-facing 720p camera, weighs 340g and has 10.4mm profile, available in 8GB or 16GB models plus expandable up to 32GB of additional storage via microSD card. As mentioned it can perform as either a tablet or a phone with Built-in 3G with HSPA+ mobile data plus voice calling.
It will be available in four colors. The 8GB Fonepad with rear three-megapixel camera starts at €219 (MSRP) and vary by market and configuration. Accessories for the tablet; VersaSleeve has an MSRP of €19.99 and Turn Case an MSRP of €39.99.
