Astrid is an elegant new todo list application for Android that helps people become more effective at getting things done. Simple enough to not get in your way but powerful enough to actually help you get stuff done! It does tagging, timers, annoying reminders, smart task sorting, hiding tasks & partial progress!

Been using Astrid for quite a while now.. before that started off with Toodo on the G1 which never quite did it for me. Astrid has been a great solution with its simplicity and RTM syncing. I gave it 5 stars on Market, but in reality no To Do list app will ever be 5 stars for everyone, we all have our own ideas about the perfect to do list app.

  2. I had been using Google Tasks & the Calendar (syncing w my Outlook Scheduler) for a defacto task manager.

This app does look pretty robust and will have to check it out and maybe make the complete switch.

    Great Review!

I have a problem when trying to configure Astrid to sync with RTM! :(

I’ve followed the link to the website of RTM, and I’ve allowed Astrid to interact with RTM. But… nothing happens! Everytime I hit “sync” I get the “Welcome to Astrid’s RTM sync!” dialog, which sends me to RTM again. Any suggestions?

    Hi guys,
Im new to Andriod, actually still on WM but about to jump.

Why does one need a second tasks app (RTM) to be able to sync your app with google tasks?

Otherwise it seems like a really good app.

    Mark.

  5. Cody says:

I want to access it from the desktop and add tasks to the app. on my desktop. Do I half to use RTM for that?

  6. Bummed says:

Buyer beware. I used Astrid for a couple of months, but unfortunately I opened it up today and all of my data is gone. Bye-bye Astrid.

    • Pavel says:

happened the same to me, same solution. It’s pitty. I went for gTasks, very simple, sync with Google Tasks (however limited trial with this feature)

      • Pavel says:

about gTasks sync issue, it seems to work again after reinstall, maybe it’s just a bug, maybe is sync trial feature for free version, not sure

  7. Blogomotive says:

Try “Got to do lite” – it’s far better. You have there tags in roll-on list (in Astrid you have to type there manually) and reminders. I don’t understand, how todo list can exist without reminders. So big fail.
