We’re all “hoping” that android addresses the bluetooth voice call problem in 2.2. But do we have any EVIDENCE that they’ve hear our cries? This is a huge problem for those of us who want to obey the law and drive safely while dialing our friends and family, not to mention leave our damned phones in our pockets/purses.

Shifting Xvid AVIs into Xvid MP4s works fine on Milestones, I can’t see why that wouldn’t work on Droids. The container shifting takes around 3-5 minutes on current computers, as the video stream is practically untouched. You may have to transcode audio into AAC, but that doesn’t take much time either.

For a simple and free (and open source, if that’s your thing) solution, try Avidemux.

not really true with that notion about avis.

like Apple in their ads says: “there is an app for that”.

I found one app in market, although too expensive for my taste… Check “yxflash” avi playback.
