Ask NerdGirl: App to Email My Voicemail, Uninstall Live Wallpapers, PIM Apps for Cruz Reader, Multiple Android Web Browsers

Ask NerdGirl answers questions you email so lets get started. I’m answering… is there an app to email my voicemail, how to uninstall Live Wallpapers, any personal information manager apps for Cruz Reader, and can I have multiple Android web browsers?
Is there a method or an app that will let me send my voicemails to email – or some other method of managing them??
Thanks.
Ralph Knauss
Hey Ralph try YouMail! It allows you to email voicemail MP3, listen online and even share on Facebook and Twitter.
Hi,
Love your website. I can’t find the answer to how you remove/delete a live wallpaper from a Droid2 Global.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thank you.

Rhonda if it is a Live Wallpaper you installed from the Android Market either visit the Market and select “My Apps”, find the live wallpaper and uninstall. If it is a live wallpaper that came default with your phone you cannot remove it unless you root your phone.
Hello Nerd, I recently purchased a Cruz reader. I count not justify the price of an Ipad due to its connectivity limitations. What I would like to know is if there are any PIM applications I could use on the Cruz?
I use MS Outlook and would like to be able to sync the information.
Thank you for your time.

Since the Cruz Reader has it’s own Cruz Market we wouldn’t have access to it without the device Kraig. That being said, you’re going to have to search personal information manager apps there. Last bummer, since the Cruz doesn’t support the Gmail app you wouldn’t be able to sync with Outlook unless your organization has an Exchange server giving you access to web-based Outlook, however, that workaround is still not a native app.
Your needs exceed what the Cruz Reader offers as it’s meant for reading books with a few other perks like browsing the web, pics and video. It’s missing a lot of core Google apps and services.
Nerdgirl,
I am new to adding applications to my recently acquired Ascend by Metro and was considering loading the Skyfire application. I am really interested in the pinch to view feature. I know its a web browser so is adding this application like having IE and Mozilla on the home pc. Will I have to add bookmarks, icons, widgets, and reorganize/reset personal phone settings if I add this application. I just dont want to affect whats on there now I guess.
Thanks,

Android allows you to have more than one web browser William. So “yes” similar to having the choice of having both IE or Mozilla on a home PC. None of them will affect your core phone features. You will have to re-add your bookmarks in each browser app.
