Get Android app recommendations based on apps already installed on your phone
Get AppMixes which are curated apps lists from media sources
Get information and quick links to apps in Google’s Android Market

Cons

Personalized app recommendations don’t immediately appear, in my case it took a few days.

Features & Usefulness:

Appsfire is an app recommendation service similar to AppBrain that recommends Android apps based on the apps already installed on your Android phone, see what other “VIPs” have installed, get best Android apps by geo-location, see top paid & free, those that are rising in the charts over 24 hours or right now. Appsfire has AppMixes by the world’s best Android app review and recommendation website AndroidTapp.com. 8-) Update: the newest version features Streams giving information like app price drops and more, read more here. Appsfire has good integration into the Android market to quickly get more information and download applications of interest.

The “Firemeter” feature is interesting, displayed with the app description is a measure of how “hot” the app currently is in Google’s Android Market. AppMixes are a combination from VIPs and media sources, other features allow moving apps to SD card or back to phone, you can share apps by email, text or QR barcode; plus a neat feature but not sure of how useful it is which shows a grid of app icons like their iOS offering.

Ease of Use:

The app requires a bit of poking around to fully understand all the benefits, in general its intention is to show great Android apps you may or may not know about using tactics like your own install taste, other gurus’ taste, those in your area, or by cost. This app brings apps to you versus you seeking them out so choose the method for finding apps that best works for you!

Frequently Used:

When installed you get notifications in the “window-shade” about app updates or statuses of newly added or removed Android apps. A bit annoying to me but you can turn it off in the Settings.

Interface:

The user interface is slick and has features to sort apps in a list or grid of icons.

thanks so much for the review of our alpha version. Recommendation should appear a lot faster in our coming versions. However current system should bring recommendations in a matter of seconds and not days.
