AppBrain.com, third party Android Application Market for discovering apps, has just released a new feature which will allow direct Web to Phone install of Android Apps similar to what Google recently demonstrated at Google I/O 2010 via an add-on app called Fast Web Install that accompanies their existing AppBrain Market Sync.

A little background why this is important… even more important… the level of convenience it offers. Prior to this feature, when you use AppBrain.com in conjunction with their AppBrain Market Sync Android app you have a one-two combo to browse apps on the web, click “Install”, launch the app on your phone and click “Sync”, which then directs you in Google’s Android Market to actually install apps you’ve previously selected to install from the Web.

Now the add-on app Fast Web Install will now allow you to cut out a few steps and just click “Install” from the website, peek at your phone and POW Batman… it’s installed! This works on all Android versions from 1.5 up to 2.2. Please note this is limited to free Android apps and not applicable to paid apps, as obviously there is a step involved where you have to pay for the app.

Here are quick instructions on installing and using Fast Web Install for AppBrain. You can use the QR barcode we’ve provided above to install the extension app and tell us what you think in the comments below.
