Apparatus is a beautifully designed physics game. Use a variety of objects to get the marble into the bucket. Incredibly challenging, you need to have an acute eye for physics and engineering to do well, but it makes for a highly addictive and compulsive gameplay. The graphics are flawlessly smooth- in all honesty they almost look real. Definitely check this one out if you haven’t already, but read on for a bit more info first!

Pros
Cons
Apparatus is a cool physics game where the aim of the main levels is to get a marble into the blue bucket. Simple premise, but the position of the ball and basket is often far apart. The assembled apparatus are there to help you, so the challenge therefore is working out firstly how they work, and then how they can help. Once you have placed the apparatus into position it’s time to press ‘Play’. When you do this, gravity kicks in and you’ll see whether you are successful or not.
The game is incredibly tricky and hugely rewarding in equal measure. It often feels very much like trial and error as you learn how items work and how best to use them. There is hint help, which often you might consult, to give you an idea of how to complete the puzzle. There are 44 levels to work through, plus 10 bonus Christmas levels and a series of community created levels available through the app, each more complex than the one before. You will eventually have access to dozens of apparatus, a good working knowledge of advanced engineering would be a real help!
There is substantial customisation here too. While you can change the background image, you can also tweak the physical effects, the graphics detail and control settings.
What gives the game significant longevity is the inclusion of the Sandbox mode. This, alongside a building challenge (allowing you to create a new level for others to try) and a forthcoming interactive challenge, gives you free reign of apparatus to create whole new levels of fiendishness! You are only limited by your imagination!
Apparatus is loads of fun. There’s so much to do and to try out. The sandbox mode gives you completely free reign to try things out, learn how they work and also create new levels for other users to try for themselves! There is almost infinite longevity here if you want it. The game is almost scarily detailed and the design is quintessentially incredible.
Once you get into the game it becomes very addictive indeed. I occasionally felt the game leaves you to your own devices a little too much sometimes, some hints might be really useful as the learning curve increases. If you have a science or an engineering background, this really fosters that passion and is an awesome game to have. There is so much scope and potential within the game, it could be something you’re addicted to for some time to come.
I don’t say this very lightly, the graphics are genuinely stunning. Incredibly accurate and detailed, you’d be forgiven for thinking it was real. Perhaps only when some of the explosives go off does it appear truly animated. Until then the design is flawless and so very slick and smooth.
The sound effects are pretty cool and represent the activity in the level. The soundtrack, which can be switched off, is like a really bad Nokia ringtone from 1997. Repetitive, annoying and loopy- probably not something that aids your efforts too much.

Should you Download Apparatus? Beside the awful music and some levels can be too difficult for for us non-engineers, Apparatus is a flawless example of addictive and beautiful gaming on your Android device. It looks stunningly detailed and gameplay is addictive and very absorbing. There is vast scope for new levels in the game and the inclusion of a Sandbox mode gives the game infinite possibilities. A top Android game that should keep you occupied for many hours. Definitely try out the Lite version first, but the full version is more than worth the money.
