Yesterday Rovio released their popular Angry Birds game for Android for free not initially in Google’s Android Market but at GetJar, the world’s second largest app store, and the overwhelming pandemonium of addicted consumers wanted the full version brought GetJar down. Accroding to there GetJar tweets, they had 90,000 downloads “in seconds”. They also report despite crashes the game was downloaded 95,000 times in just 3 hours.
Shortly there after it was moved to Google’s official Android Market with more than 150 levels. There are reports however that the game doesn’t support true multi-tasking, meaning if you play the game and leave to take a call and return, all game activity is lost.
