Promotion

AndroidTapp.com will be giving away a New T-Mobile G1 cell phone (a $450 value)! Plus Free shipping as well. Why are we giving this away? Why not… our website is geared towards enthusiasts of the Google Android App Market, and the T-Mobile G1 is the first commercially available cell phone for it.

The winner will be chosen at random. Promotion starts Monday 11:59pm CST December 22, 2008 and ends Monday 11:59pm CST January 19, 2009. There are several ways to enter the promotion and win, multiple entries are allowed based ONLY by the criteria below (please read the full promotion details):

My husband has one and now i am jealous.I got a Samsung Behold phone and it is ok,But i would rather have a G1 Mobile Phone.That’s how cool they are.He has been trying out some cool games on there and i just love the games they have on there.I hope i can win at this.Go G1 Mobile Phones!!

I’m curious, did you get enough requests for the Dev Phone 1 to warrant the rewarding of it instead of the G1?

Also, it must be a hoot to review the Android apps for a website. I hope this contest gave you the publicity that this site deserves.

  @Purple Penguin We didn’t get as many requests as expected, plus the promotion was for the retail G1 thus limited to US and UK markets.
  
  Actually it is fantastic reviewing Andriod Apps because we feel the website provides a niche and vaule (especially when paid apps hit the Market). The relationships we create with other related Android websites like http://www.Droideo.com, http://www.SpoofApp.com, http://www.GoogleandBlog.com, http://www.LiveCrunch.com, http://www.AndroidGuys.com, etc. (to name a few) are pricesless. Not to mention the developers, http://www.Biggu.com, http://www.Loopt.com, http://www.GasBot.net, http://www.PicSay.com, etc. And it will only grow stronger. (We’re also going to announce more about Guest Writers soon)
