The xperia 10? Is this a mistake? It has 1.6 with an absolute ugly customization. Where is the promised update?

Better add the Desire HD. Or the Dell Streak, its updated to 2.2 and now very useful.

i still think you could drop the xperia from the list and put either the G2 or something better… no 2.2 on it.. so no multitouch? or a load of other froyo goodies… software makes the phone and i havent met anyone who fell head over heals in love with that ui… sorry you opened the door to software when you talked about the “genius button” on the mytouch…. i have a genius button on my G2 also.. it’s called vlingo, and it is awesome!

Newer/faster processor, especially for 3D, and 1.5GB internal storage.

If you value 4G and HDMI over that then in your opinion the Evo is better, then the HD should come second on this list! Its better than the N1. I love the N1, still have it, but now its screen seems tiny!

Just US phones then? I guess that’s all that matters regardless of the REST OF THE WORLD.

Desire HD is superior to the Evo, but hey that hasn’t been released in the all-important US.

Quick correction the G2 came out before the MyTouch 4G and so the G2 was the first tmobile phone with Quote UnQuote 4G.

Also as far as the 800MHz vs 1GHz thing goes the G2 is running a Second Gen Snapdragon at 800MHz which is basically the equivalent of a 1.2Ghz First Gen Snap Dragon.

Also the X10 is a crap phone running a crap skin which makes it’s 1GHz seem like a 500MHz.

forgot to give props to the inclusion of stock android.. before i had the moment, i had the hero but returned it.. just didnt like sense… and i DID like motoblur, so thats not saying too much for sense from me.. but both UI’s had lovers and haters.. so i was really glad to have stock android on the G2, which i’ve supplemented with launcherPro… so i get sense-like widgets, a nice 3-panel sliding tray, 7 screen home with fly in / out… and more…

and because i have stock android, i’ll be eating gingerbread before most of ya’ll with the custom UI’s.. nanner nanner boo boo! lol…

No DesireHD mentioned then?!!

Given that the Evo won, and the DHD is pretty similar, given that it has a newer processor and 1.5GB of onboard storage, I reckon it should fair pretty well in this list!
OK no HDMI, 4G or kickstand… but I’ll take internal storage over that as its far more *useful*

i own the G2 and absolutely love it! it’s fast! the 4G connection is fast.. the keyboard is stable.. i’ve never felt like it wasnt designed well.. i had reservations about it BEFORE i bought one, and sat on the fence about it but in deciding to stay on tmobile, went with it, and am a very happy user… now, i came from the cliq, so ANYthing was a great upgrade, and i know that doesnt give me alot of credit, but i have had about 10 smartphones over the years at work.. like the treo 700W, blackjack, att tilt, and samsung moment to name a few… so that being said, i can tell you the G2 is very well made, has a gorgeous screen … best phone i’ve ever owned… and even with the 3 million apps i’ve loaded and sometimes have running in the background, it’s still an extremely snappy experience… i know you guys dogged its 800mhz chip, but i gotta say, it feels like a gig or better.. (not to mention it’s been overclocked up to a gig or better too!)

G2 came in at 12 on our list, ousted by X10 because the G2 had only 800MHz processor. 2010 standard for that class of phone was 1GHz which the X10 has. Yes the G2 has Froyo and X10 only recently upgraded but G2′s keyboard sliding hinge is not well built
