Android Platform Stats: stagnant, but slight nudges towards newer versions of Android

Much of the numbers regarding Android platform stats according to Google remained stagnant in comparison last month. There was a slight bump from 10.2% to 13.6% collectively for Jelly Bean devices (12.2% for Android 4.1 and 1.4% for latest Android 4.2, respectively). Ice Cream Sandwich plateaus at 29% while majority of all Android powered devices are running older Android 2.3.x (Gingerbread) at 45.6%. Check out the charts below…

    I think Jelly Bean will really become a powerful platform for Android developers in the forthcoming months. Also, the latest version of mobiles have accepted the Jelly Bean.

    Major market share of Ginger Bread concludes that the initial users of Android are the one’s who actually purchased the device for fun but now no more seems interested with Android.
    Moreover, the frequency of update in Android is so high that as the user purchase a device, another update is launched.
