Features:

Android Booster Free is an awesome tool for your Android device. I have been using it for quite awhile and happens to be installed on each and every device I own. I usually do not use apps like these on my devices, but I can actually say that I have seen improved performance on my myTouch4G running CM7 since I started using it a month ago.

These Android optimizer have numerous features within the application. I consider it an all-in-one app since it includes a task killer, battery saver, memory booster and a lot more all within an app that is only 898kb.

One of my favorite features of this device is the optimize button. As soon as you open the application you are presented with an overview and right under the tabs is your Check Up Report. The Check Up report is basically whether or not there are any problems detected and what your star rating is. If there are problems detected you can select optimize and a box will popup that will let you choose what to close to improve memory and whether or not to switch off services like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to improve battery life. I find this to be a very convenient way to improve my device’s speed, memory, battery life and more with just the touch of a button. Now I do have to say this about the Check Up Report, I feel it could use some improvement due to the fact that every time I enter the application it is prompting me to optimize the device. Maybe the addition of settings on when to prompt or a more accurate list of possible problems. At the moment it seems that the app will always suggest to optimize as long as there is an app or service running.

Another definite bonus to the Android Booster is their widget. The widget makes it easy to keep on eye on your battery life, memory, tasks,  and what services are running on your device. You can easily turn off or on your Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Data via the widget. along with that you can quickly push the optimize button easily and with no need to access the app itself.

Overall, I love this app and with just a little improvement it could become a great powerful tool for your Android device.

Usefulness:

I find Android Booster Free to be a very useful application for Android devices. It is an all-in-one toolkit for any Android device and makes improving performance quick and easy.

Ease of Use:

Once you get Android Booster Free set up the way you want it to run, then you are in for an easy ride the rest of the way. Optimize when you need to, keep an eye on what your device is doing all simply and easily.

Frequently Used:

This is definitely one of my most used applications. The added bonus of the widget lets me keep an eye on my device and use the application only when I need to.

Interface:

The interface of Android Booster Free is nice and smooth. The colors compliment each other well and the added bonus of the tabs up top make it easy to navigate throughout the application.

If you go to the website NetQin who is supposed to be the makers of this software, you’ll find that the software reviewed here is nowhere to be found on their site.

not like they’re really pushing it.

Based on the products they offer, it appears this is what “Android Booster” is on their site: http://www.netqin.com/en/guard/

I installed the application and almost immediately uninstalled it. My memory usage spiked and stayed so high on my Evo that I had to get rid of it. It was eating my battery life.

I have an Evo as well and didn’t experience those types of results. When I used it, it did offload some of the RAM being used by inactive apps, however, it was a minimal difference that I noticed performance-wise on my end.

Android booster doesn’t really do anything for your phone but take up space. BAD BAD APP!

It’s not the “best” utility for your phone by far from the worst. It does actually work although I think it’s missing key features that would make it stellar.

I agree with what Jason said. It is not the best but also not the worse. It does need some like I mentioned the “optimize” feature does need some work, but overall I do enjoy using it. It does have some valuable information that is easily accessible.

Everyone has their opinion. Remember, we don’t have biased opinions about our reviews. Just purely an honest opinion. If you don’t like it, don’t download it. Personally, I prefer not to use apps like this. If you use your device properly and developers create their apps efficiently, apps like this would be unnecessary. Unfortunately, this isnt always the case. Thankfully, you can rely on AndroidTapp to point you in the right direction :)

You must admit; however, some of the reviews here should come with a caveat. This one, for example, is developed by a Chinese company, IN China. That, in itself, would likely deter many folks from installing it.

China + Software + full internet + phone state/id privs = No Thanks.

Their apps phone home with personal data…. I wish I could find the website that had that list.

Keep in mind, that allegation came from the use of third party app stores. I haven’t found a article that states they found this issue with the official Android Market. Many developers have their apps taken from the market and placed on third party app stores with malicious code.

Seems like a useful app, but if you want to go a step further and speed up your phone without killing tasks all the time you want to tweak the memory usage of your android phone from within – before actual tasks are performed. This can increase the overall speed and snappyness of your phone incredibly!

Now I know this is a bit too geeky for the normal android user, but it is actually really simple to realise – it only takes a few minutes with a supercharger script.

You can find instructions on how to install it here: http://technopsisblog.com/supercharge-your-android-supercharger-scripts-speed-up-your-phone

It works on (almost) every android device – may be worth checking out!
