Android 3.0 Honeycomb Motorola Tablet [Video]

Andy Rubin Demos Android 3.0 Homeycomb Motorola Tablet

At D:Dive Into Mobile conference Andy Rubin, VP of Engineering at Google, showed off features of Android 3.0 codename Honeycomb. This on the same day Samsung and Google unveiled the Nexus S, first Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone (Oh, don’t forget to see what’s new in the OS). Rubin showed off a prototype Motorola tablet showcasing the new Google Maps with 3D buildings, 3D tilting, rotations and shadowing powered by NVIDIA’s dual-core 3D graphics processor. Goodie, we Android smartphone owners will get first dibs at it in a few days, so stay tuned for that!

This version of Honeycomb is an early preview and more optimized for tablet screen real estate sizes including Google TV. Check out the vid above, thoughts or Honeycomb features you’d like to see… share them in the comments below!

Watched this on Phandroid, yesterday. Looks hot! I speculate that it is a 10″ Tab. Too bad the interviewers were such A$$es. Trying to lure him into an Apple/Google Battle. A GOOPLE!!

  lol those hosts are terribly bad.
  I mean, he said the product is not out yet, so no price is to be made…. of course a cellphone or talbet can cost a few thousand dollars since their hardware is (not yet) made in very big volumes, since they produced probably under a 100, each one with the same hardware is much pricier than they would if they made thousands.

Android is back with this new tablet and the new OS update although i loved Froyo as well but honeycomb looks sexy !

Really love to see this update of android. This motorola tablet looks really nice and i am exciting to use it as it uses Android 3.0 Honeycomb.
