Currently the one handset using Froyo 2.2 is the Nexus One, but with the release of the Droid X recently there has been some speculation as to which super device will get the OS next. There is a long list of viable candidates, and handsets worthy of the update, but with all of the fuss of who’s next we have missed a few great upgrades to Android 2.2 that are great for business enterprise users.
For years Blackberry has been the premier, if only, handset manufacture that businesses use for enterprise service. Google has made a play to appeal to this critical mass of consumers with their business minded updates in 2.2. Froyo for business has immensely increased security by allowing exchange admins to wipe a phone clean and restore the phone back to factory default, as well as enforce numeric or alpha numeric pins to unlock the device.
If you’re already using Exchange 2007, users will have the ability for easy set up and sync with just one user name and password, while 2.2′s calendar feature syncs with exchange allowing users to auto-complete recipients from their email directory. Froyo has also better cloud integration as well which can be a plus for business users for backup of important documents and phone directory.
