Just a few weeks back we saw statistics Goggle released putting Android 2.1 at 37.2%, now that gap is closing with most Android smartphones in the market running version 2.1. Good news, older version are being updated as Android 1.5 is down to 27.6% from 34.1%, and Android 1.6 down to 26.8% from 28%, whereas Android 2.1 up to 45.1% from 37.2%. Interesting the stats don’t show the rise if those running Android 2.2 (Froyo). P.S. check out an interesting chart we’ve created to show various Android phones by version running.
