This is by the far the best home replacement application that I have used and I can honestly say that I have tried the majority of those available in the market. ADWLauncher EX gives users tons and tons of customizations from how the font looks to what applications show up in the app drawer, themes and so much more.

One of my favorite abilities in this application is the hidden dock. The hidden dock gives the ability to have unlimited shortcuts to your contacts, applications and more. Basically, if you can turn it into a shortcut you can add it to the hidden dock. Along with the hidden dock is the main dock. The main dock is also customizable and has the option to place up to five shortcuts so it is easy to access your most frequently used applications and shortcuts.

Another great option that ADW delivers is gestures. Gestures are unique moves you make on the screen to open the app drawer, notification bar, Android apps, and many other possibilities. By simply sliding your finger up the screen you can pull up the app drawer or sliding your finger down can give users access to the notification bar. These, like everything else, are customizable so you can set the gestures to work the way you want them to.

The hundreds of themes that are available for ADWLauncher EX makes it possible to have any look or design you can imagine. The themes range from free to $1.01 and include themes like Nexus S Gingerbread, Android Honeycomb, Tron, and lots more.

I love ADW, but I find it a little bit buggy on my EVO. Overall though, if you want to really personalize your phone, this app lets you do it. I think for me, it’s about 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Grand stuff.
I like Go Launchers Ex ability to give me as many Home screens as I want.
At present I have 10.
One for each range of subject.
It’s been very buggy last month. But seems to be better this month.
(These things go in waves I find.) It just needs a decent Facebook App. The only half decent one I’ve found is a Facebook widget in LauncherPro.
A nice big full screen 4×5 widget that can show the last 10+ messages from my friends in one glance.

(I’ve over 200 apps installed on my HTC Desire HD.)

As I’m a long standing IT engineer from the 1980s, so I like to try Apps out.

Amazing how badly spelt some are or just badly designed aren’t there?
