A.I.type Keyboard Plus is a very special keyboard indeed. While the market is awash with alternative keyboards, including the recently reviewed AndroidTapp App of the Week ‘Smart Keyboard‘, A.I.type Keyboard offers a quite unnervingly accurate text prediction, a number of cool themes and an especially intuitive means of auto-correct.

Features:
A.I.type Keyboard Plus is a superb keyboard replacement for Android. Firstly, it looks good and comes with a variety of themes (which are displayed in the pics below so check them out). These include: Default A.I.type Keyboard, iPhone 4, full size buttons, Gingerbread, Windows 8 tablet, WP7, Android basic and Custom colors. While you cannot download 3rd party themes like you can with apps like Better Keyboard and Smart Keyboard, the range is quite nice and you should be able to find one you like. Additionally to these styles, you can even add a picture of your choice to the background; this can be a plain color or a picture form your gallery. So, nicely customizable.
The text prediction is more than a little uncanny. The app predicts your next word with incredible accuracy, making typing far easier than other keyboards. I’ve tried out most available keyboards on the Android Market, from the likes of Swype and SwiftKey to the generic Gingerbread keyboard of Android phones. A.I.type Keyboard Plus beats these for comprehensive and accurate text prediction handsomely. The app boasts that it ‘learns’ your style of writing (calling it ‘MyType’) the more you use it, so in theory it should get even more accurate.
A truly brilliant feature, and one that should be included in all keyboards is the small notification sound it gives when it auto-corrects a word for you. It immediately makes you aware that a correction has been made and subsequently allows you to check it’s actually right. So simple, yet incredibly intuitive and user-friendly. Thankfully then you are all-the-more unlikely to send SMS messages with the hapless auto-correct fails you can see on sites (and apps) like DamnYouAutoCorrect!

Usefulness:
Well, most keyboards are useful, they are essential for textual input on your phone. However, A.I.type Keyboard Plus takes usefulness to a new level. The predictive text is fantastically accurate and the auto-correct notification sound is a brilliant idea.
Ease of Use:
There are quite a few settings, but the app is as simple to use as any other keyboard. Right from the word go it’s easy to use and the nature of MyType, it learns your typing style, means it essentially gets easier to type the more you use it. The auto-caps thing is a nuisance though. 
Frequently Used:
If deployed, this is the kind of app you are obviously going to use very regularly… every time you typed! 
Interface:
The interface is pretty clear and the keyboard is bold and relatively large- especially compared to the small native Gingerbread keyboard. While I prefer larger keyboards, some people might be put off by the overall size. I wouldn’t call it a major issue though.
