DROID RAZR MAXX is virtually the DROID RAZR, which we crowned the Best Android phone of last year, but with extended battery life. Though not as thin as its predecessor it delivers everything else: large screen, sleek design, 4G LTE capable, that Webtop feature I love- but hate the poor marketing of, and now upgrades to Android 4 (Ice Cream Sandwich). |

Galaxy Nexus technically debuted last year, and we factored projected sales data in our algorithms then. Half a year later, the data held up! Now that the flagship Google phone refreshes as the only smartphone with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean (thus far), and sale in the U.S. has been resumed from a temporary halt, we thought we would factor it into the top list, again. |

HTC One S is T-Mo’s shining star- a definite recommend, as well as for HTC. This is one of the thinnest and sexiest phones I’ve ever met. The screen is vivid, it is fast and powerful, the camera is simply amazing; with burst shots & you can take pics while video recording, plus it blazes the web with fast HSPA+ 4G. We’ve seen it hold its own in 4G face-offs with LTE devices in Chicago. (Tech pundits insert your: “It’s not true 4G” and/or “It depends on your location” injunction here.) Bottomline… it’s fast, slim and beautiful! |

HTC One X is a beast of a computer… I mean phone! Whether you have the quad core international or dual core U.S. variant it is still hyper fast! Of all the gorgeous screens we’ve feasted upon this is probably the best of the best! As mentioned with its sibling One S above the camera optics are breathtaking, the phone’s speed is fast, and 4G LTE internet speeds are even faster! |

Samsung Galaxy Note is an honorable mention before we crown the top Android smartphone. Creating its own term & category, the “phablet”, I was completely shocked with the sales data and how much consumers accepted this large form factor. All I can say is someone save us from these huge Android smartphones! |

Samsung Galaxy S3 is the king of the crop. It’s the phone I personally love to hate. Many of the advanced sharing and motion gesture features need work to win me over, but they have potential. However, when you look at the phone’s core perks, this is what will sell you. It’s one of the fastest performers according to our benchmark tests, has one of the largest screens- yet it doesn’t seem as large because of a slim & sexy design, features really good HD cameras, and 4G flavorful. Perhaps one of the key aspects of this phone is that it will dominate the smartphone marketthis year being sold as a single brand on many major telecom carriers worldwide.Check out our extensive video tutorials on how to use some of the advanced features on the Galaxy S3 on YouTube. |
