Plan B definitely deserves a #1 or #2 ranking since you can install it to your phone after you’ve lost it. It’s completely no frills, just installs and sends you the location, and you can send a txt msg to it again after that for the location, but that’s it. Can’t lock the phone or wipe it. Can’t display a msg on the phone that it’s lost or stolen, with the owner’s contact info.. Can’t capture the phone numbers that are being called from the phone after it’s lost or stolen. It won’t send text msgs to the recipient of calls and the caller, telling them that it’s been lost or stolen and the phone numbers are being monitored.

All of those and others are features available in other lost/stolen phone apps I’ve tested, but NONE of them offer the ability to install an app on the phone to find your phone AFTER it’s been lost or stolen, if you didn’t have an app on it beforehand (or if you forgot how to trigger the app you might have installed on it). All those other features are great and could push a lost/stolen phone app to #1, but Plan B deserves a slot up there too without question. My advice, install one of the apps that has the richest set of functions I mentioned above, and if for any reason that app fails or you forget the trigger password or method, be prepared to use Plan B (literally).

All great but as I mentioned on response to another post, Plan B doesn’t work on a Motorola Razr M. Not sure why.

Cerberus App is missing here, and is my favourite as it allows to take pictures or videos too, so you could even see who’ve stolen your device.
